I'm not sure why Tidio is receiving so much criticism, as in my opinion, it's likely the best live chat for small businesses. My experiences with them have been excellent.

Tidio: The Only Chat Platform Worth Investing In
Tidio has greatly enhanced our communication system, which was previously limited by the use of several inferior chat bot platforms. Since we started using Tidio, we've noticed a significant rise in people engaging with our team through chat and we've been able to address their queries and issues more promptly. Tidio's interface is straightforward, neat, robust, and customizable, making live-chat support on our website easier. It provides a range of features, including Facebook messenger integration, a customizable chat window and icon, and a powerful chatbot system. I was particularly taken with the chatbots, which are simple to customize and can be set to perform various actions. We saw a considerable increase in chat traffic within a day of using Tidio. Tidio also provides native email responses to chats, enabling us to respond to incoming chats via email when we can't monitor the chat round the clock. However, Tidio can be a bit overwhelming initially and has some limitations.

Affordable Intercom Substitute that Grows with Your Business
I found Tidio to be an excellent tool due to its simplicity and ease of implementation on my website(s) for real-time user issue resolution. The onboarding process was smooth and it was very easy to deploy after signing up. I appreciated the fact that I could start using it for free without needing a credit card. However, I found creating the first or any bot's workflow to be quite cumbersome and not as smooth as other tools. I chose Tidio for its affordable price and the ability to select different features and functionalities a la carte, rather than having a large subscription with many features I don't use. The main reason I switched to Tidio was its cost.
