  • Unique Email Editing Features: Outlook offers unique features for smooth email management, including the ability to recall emails. This feature is particularly useful for correcting mistakes or making changes to sent emails.

Cons from reviewers

  • Outdated directory for adding people's calendars: The process of adding people's calendars to the Outlook view is outdated and not user-friendly. It often requires multiple attempts to add an individual's calendar, which can be time-consuming and frustrating

  • Mobile version needs improvements: The mobile version of Microsoft Outlook lacks in terms of functionality and responsiveness. Despite its seamless integration with the Office 365 suite, the mobile version could benefit from enhancements for a better user experience

  • Poor management of emails from other providers: Microsoft Outlook struggles with managing emails from other providers. It is often more effective to use the provider's own app or website for these tasks

  • Overwhelming submenus: The extensive submenus in Microsoft Outlook can be overwhelming when trying to adjust simple settings. This is due to the multitude of features that the software offers

Appreciating the Classic Hotmail Feature in Microsoft Outlook

I absolutely love using Microsoft Outlook! The Hotmail feature is a classic, and while it does get some spam, it's nothing that can't be managed with a bit of patience and diligence. I've found that reporting and blocking unwanted emails can really help in controlling the influx. It's almost like a game, and I appreciate the challenge! It's also worth noting that this could be a clever strategy by Microsoft to encourage users to upgrade to their premium version, which offers an even more seamless experience. I personally find Hotmail to be a nostalgic and reliable service. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try before considering other options!

Microsoft Outlook: My Personal Assistant for Productivity

Microsoft Outlook serves as my archive for all project-related matters, productivity, and follow-ups. I receive hundreds, if not thousands, of emails each week. Thanks to Outlook's tools, I can quickly identify the most important ones and filter out those that can be reviewed later or those that I may not even need to open. This saves me a lot of time and boosts my productivity. However, I'm not a fan of the directory for adding people's calendars to my Outlook view. It feels outdated and could be cleaner and easier to use. Specifically, I dislike having to double-click on the individual I'm choosing. Half the time, this feature doesn't work on the first try and I have to attempt again.

Appreciating the Precision of Microsoft Outlook's Block Function

I absolutely love the unique features of Microsoft Outlook.com email! One of the things that really stands out to me is its 'block' function. It's so specific and precise! For example, if I get a phishing email from jack@1a2a3a4a5a6a7 and I tag it as phishing, Outlook.com will block jack@1a2a3a4a5a6a7. It's so impressive how it targets individual senders rather than blocking the entire domain. This means that it doesn't just block everyone from a domain, but rather focuses on the individual sender. It's a great way to ensure that I'm not missing out on any important emails from other senders at the same domain. I find this level of precision and attention to detail incredibly satisfying!
