Webflow
The first time I need to create anything more "site" than a landing page, I turn to Webflow because it is possible to create actual multi-page site structures using the CMS Collections and the designer. Here's an example of how I've created my own workflow to get this done. First, I will create a Marketing Homepage. Then, using the CMS Collection feature in Webflow, I can automatically create a /blog area with Category Pages as well as Author Templates that are also driven by the same data. To add additional features such as Scroll-Based Reveal effects (via Interactions) as well as Chat Widgets (via Custom Code Embed), I like creating combinations of these types of interactions. As far as pricing goes, there are four main Site Plans available at Webflow; Starter ($0) for Testing purposes, Basic ($18/month), CMS ($29/month) for increased traffic/publishing requirements and Business ($49/month).
Wix
Wix is what I pick when the site has to include business “modules,” not just pages, like Wix Stores for checkout, Wix Bookings for appointment slots, and the App Market for add-ons. If I need custom behavior without migrating away, I use Velo to add JavaScript, database collections, and serverless functions. The plan ladder is also explicit: Light (~$17/mo) removes ads and supports a custom domain, Core (~$29/mo) adds “accept payments,” and Business Elite (~$159/mo) targets higher-scale needs.
Squarespace
Squarespace wins for me when the priority is a tightly designed site that already includes the basics: templates, domain management, built-in analytics, and commerce catalogs without installing plugins. I’ve used it for consultant sites where the “Services” page needs pricing blocks, FAQ sections, and a contact form that routes leads to email. The plan structure is straightforward, Personal vs Business, then Commerce Basic/Advanced once you need store features like checkout and inventory. If I’m handing the site to a non-technical owner, the locked-down editing model reduces “theme drift.”

Webflow is my pick for a small marketing team (or a founder + designer duo) that wants to publish frequently without turning every update into a dev ticket. If you’re running content marketing, CMS Collections are the reason: you can define fields (title, slug, author, category, SEO meta), design a template once, and let the CMS generate pages reliably. I also like it for agencies because the Designer enforces a class-based styling system, which makes it realistic to maintain a design system across multiple pages instead of hand-tuning each section like I often do in single-page tools. Webflow also fits teams that care about launch workflow: staging, publishing, and structured navigation matter more once you’re past a one-page waitlist. If your Carrd page is starting to sprawl into “fake multi-page,” Webflow is usually the cleaner pivot.
What are the differences between Webflow and Carrd?
Carrd is optimized for one-page publishing: you assemble sections, publish quickly, and (on Pro) add forms, widgets/embeds, and analytics. The big functional gap I feel is data and repeatability, Carrd doesn’t give me a native CMS with collections, templates, and dynamic pages. Webflow flips that: I can model content in CMS Collections, bind fields into templates, and generate dozens (or thousands) of pages without duplicating layout work. On pricing, Carrd’s Pro Lite starts at $9/year and Pro Plus is $49/year, which is drastically cheaper than Webflow’s Site Plans like Basic ($18/mo), CMS ($29/mo), and Business ($49/mo). In practice, I treat Carrd as “publish a single, polished page,” and Webflow as “build a full site with content operations.”

If Carrd feels limiting because you’re embedding too many external tools, Wix reduces that glue work.

Weebly: A Satisfactory Yet Underwhelming Website Builder
My overall experience with Weebly has been satisfactory, but slightly disappointing. Compared to other website builders like Squarespace, it seems less modern and stylish. I'm uncertain if I'll continue using Weebly or switch to another platform soon. I managed to create my website as desired, selecting a template and replacing everything with my own photos and videos. However, the website felt clunky and occasionally unresponsive. There were instances when the preview didn't accurately reflect the actual website, and it would sometimes freeze.
