    Nice experience

very good experience with ai and virtual machines hope they will continue this legacy the reasons i like it : • Clean UI — compared to AWS, it's significantly less overwhelming for beginners. Things are easier to find. • Cloud Shell — built-in terminal in the browser is genuinely useful, no local setup needed • IAM & permissions — granular and well organized • Logging & monitoring — Cloud Logging and Monitoring dashboards are solid • Free tier — generous enough to learn and experiment

Predictable Managed Postgres via Cloud SQL

GCP has been a strong fit for data pipelines. Pub/Sub and Dataflow handled a streaming ingestion project for us without a lot of operational babysitting, and that alone removed a recurring headache. Documentation is decent, though not always where you expect it to be. We also had some startup credits from Joinsecret during the first few months, and that gave us room to benchmark Dataflow against a simpler cron-based approach before committing

    Low-Ops Streaming Pipelines with Pub/Sub + Dataflow

I have had a good experience with Compute Engine for workloads that needed more control than a serverless setup. Creating custom machine types was useful because we could match CPU and memory more closely to what the app actually needed. Snapshotting disks and cloning instances has also made testing safer. It took some time to understand networking well enough to avoid mistakes, but once that clicked the platform felt reliable
