As someone who regularly handles multiple social media accounts, Buffer and I have spent quite a bit of time together and honestly, it has been a pretty positive experience! The overall usability of Buffer is my favorite part. I can't tell you how simple it is to navigate the site. From the start, Buffer has made social media easy; for instance, when I needed to set up posts for a product launch and needed to have posts going out at the same time on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, Buffer made it easy and the clear interface made it feel seamless.
Another feature that I am especially fond of is the extension on my browser. It has made it really easy to add any articles or images for me to share so that my workflow does not need to stop while I am browsing. The mobile app is astounding as it has saved my day multiple times when I am away from my desk and need to just share something in the moment. A couple of times, I have had issues with the Android app - like scheduled posts ending up in drafts - but these problems have been a nuisance at worst and don't detract from the ease of Buffer as a whole.
When it comes to analytics, Buffer's data is sufficient for very basic tracking and maintenance of engagement. Recently, while promoting an event, it was easy to track how my posts were doing and I was even able to reply to comments on posts right in the Buffer platform. So if you are looking for heavy audience breakdowns or data on conversions, you will likely have to lean on other analytic resources.
Overall, buffer is still a low-cost place that generally does a good job of covering my scheduling needs. Yes, I may have had an odd post not publish when it's supposed to but the convenience outweighs the small drawbacks. If you are a small business or managing multiple platforms yourself, Buffer is definitely worth considering.
Low learning curve
New users can get started quickly. Most people understand the tool within minutes, which reduces onboarding friction.
Clean and intuitive experience
Buffer’s interface feels thoughtful and uncluttered. Users can focus on publishing and planning rather than learning complicated menus or dealing with feature overload.
Transparent pricing
Pricing is clear and predictable, which is refreshing in the SaaS space. There are no hidden usage limits or confusing add-ons.
Reliable scheduling
Posts publish consistently and on time. This reliability builds trust, especially for businesses that depend on regular posting.
Strong focus on fundamentals
Buffer prioritizes scheduling, planning, and basic analytics. This helps users build sustainable habits instead of chasing vanity metrics.
Limited advanced analytics
Users looking for deep attribution, competitive benchmarking, or advanced reporting may feel constrained by Buffer’s analytics depth.
Fewer automation options
Compared to heavier tools, Buffer offers fewer automation rules. Power users may miss advanced workflows.
Engagement features are basic
Community management and inbox features are limited. Handling large volumes of comments can be challenging.
Not built for large enterprises
Very large teams with complex permissions may outgrow Buffer’s collaboration model.
Fewer integrations than competitors
While core platforms are supported, Buffer has fewer native integrations than some enterprise-focused alternatives.

One of the key differences between Planable and Buffer lies in their pricing structures. Planable offers tiered plans based on the number of users and workspaces, with prices starting at $33 per workspace per month. It also provides a free plan with limited features, which is ideal for small teams or individuals just starting out. Buffer, in contrast, starts at $5 per month for its Essentials plan, which includes basic publishing and analytics features. Buffer’s more advanced plans, such as its Team plan, are priced at $10 for 1 channel per month, making it slightly more affordable for larger teams, especially for those primarily focused on post scheduling and basic analytics.
Another notable difference is their collaboration focus. Planable is built around real-time collaboration, allowing users to create, preview, and approve social media posts with team feedback directly in the platform. It’s an excellent choice for content teams looking to streamline their creative and approval...

An Enthusiastic Review of Buffer's Digital Customer Service
I'm absolutely thrilled with Buffer, it's a five-star software in my book! The fact that they don't offer phone support is actually a plus for me, as I prefer digital communication. Their globally distributed team is a testament to their international reach and diversity. It's clear they're well-trained, especially in providing options for upgrades. I've had the opportunity to submit two tickets and engage in multiple email exchanges with different staff members. Each interaction has been a learning experience, helping me understand the software better. Sometimes, I receive detailed emails suggesting me to upgrade my account, which I appreciate as it shows they're attentive to my needs. Occasionally, it may seem like the customer service representative hasn't fully grasped my query, but I see it as an opportunity for me to clarify my needs better. Their customer service is unique and unlike any I've ever experienced. It's a refreshing change from the norm and I'm excited to continue my journey with Buffer!

Buffer: Essential for Streamlined Multi-Platform Marketing
Overall, Buffer has made my job as a new marketing professional easier, enabling me to manage a complex social media presence for a publishing agency with multiple sub-brands. I can create a full social marketing campaign in one place and schedule it to auto-publish to all our brand's channels. However, the cost can quickly increase if managing multiple accounts, especially if needing advanced features like analytics or if the marketing team has multiple users.

Underwhelming Performance
My experience with Buffer has been positive until recently when I couldn't access it for over two days. I reached out via Twitter and provided a picture as requested, but the response time was unsatisfactory. This was particularly disappointing as I have a paid account. It appears that Buffer blocks users who use certain VPNs, which I believe is a poor decision as it discourages online safety.

Sufficient for Basic Scheduling and Posting Tasks
Buffer's interface is clean and user-friendly, making it easy for me to set up. I mainly use it with X, but it can also schedule posts on other social media platforms. I appreciate the queueing option as it gives me more control over the order of scheduled posts. However, I find the analytics and insights quite basic compared to other similar tools, even on the most expensive plan. It also doesn't integrate seamlessly with Instagram, although there are easy workarounds.

AWFUL: Buffer Review
TERRIBLE - I can't post due to the poor UI. It's a waste of money. Plus, their contact button on the website is useless as it doesn't allow me to reach customer support.

Dependable and Robust: Buffer Experience
I've been a user of Buffer for years and have never considered seeking alternatives. My requirements are simple and Buffer has been straightforward to set up and understand. It has consistently met all my basic needs without ever feeling too complex or confusing, despite its numerous features. There could be minor improvements to the web interface, but this is a minor issue. The mobile app is outstanding. I chose Buffer as it's simpler, more affordable, and more scalable for my needs.
