Packed with Potential
My overall experience with Alloy Navigator has been positive. I had to manage a large, poorly maintained system, but once I updated the inventory, locations, and customers, it became much easier. I particularly appreciate the software's ability to integrate and sync with Active Directory, which helps me keep everything updated. I'm a big fan of automation, so this feature is a big plus. However, I do feel the GUI is somewhat outdated and could be simplified, but this might be because I'm using an older version of Alloy Navigator. I also wish there were more customization options for AD sync. After sharing my review, the vendor suggested that I upgrade to the latest version and try the Technician Web Portal, which they claim is sleek and easy to use. They also recommended that I reach out to their services team for help with the Active Directory sync, as it is highly flexible and offers many features that I might not be aware of.

Alloy: Feature-Rich but Lacks User-Friendliness
I appreciate the many useful features of Alloy-Navigator, including the equipment lending library and asset management features. I also find it handy that users can send tickets through the help desk portal, making it easier for us to track work orders. However, I've been let down by their customer support recently. When I run into a problem and can't find a solution in their knowledge base, I submit a help desk ticket. But, it sometimes takes days to receive a response. After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was contacted by the vendor who claimed they had no record of my interactions with Technical Support. They also stated that their average response time is 2 hours, which hasn't been my experience. They've offered to discuss this further, so I'm hopeful for improvements in their customer service.
