01 Is Omnisend any Good? My expert Review
After spending a considerable amount of time exploring and experimenting with various email marketing platforms, I must say Omnisend has truly impressed me as a dependable and flexible platform that makes sense for e-commerce businesses. To me, what is most important about Omnisend are the automation features. When I was managing a Shopify store, it was so easy to set up workflows that were multi-channel based on email, sms and push notifications because of the integration. It resulted in a significant increase in customer engagement and conversion rates, which is something every marketer desires.
Another key feature that I enjoyed was the segmentation. For example, while working with the fashion retailer client, it was amazing how easy it was to segment customers based on their last purchase and browsing activity. Not only did it allow us to develop highly targeted campaigns, it really improved our open rates and overall ROI – music to the ears of any marketer.
However, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. When I did the analysis on a larger store with thousands of contacts it became more burdensome. At the time, managing the database started to become overbearing with how big our contact list grew. Additionally, while the templates were aesthetically pleasing enough, I did find myself wanting more options for customizing templates to meet specific brand identities.
Overall, despite those mentioned inconsistencies, Omnisend's intuitive interface and customer support has always satisfied me. Whenever I came across issues or had questions about the automations or tracking analytics, Omnisend's support team would step in with prompt and helpful solutions on a consistent basis which was an absolute lifesaver at times.
Overall, my experience with Omnisend is very positive and I appreciate that it has a complete feature set, is affordable, and easy to use. Yes, I think they need to be better about flexibility with templates and database management for large scale businesses - but overall, for most e-commerce marketers looking for an easy-to-use and implement multi-channel solution, Omnisend is on point.

The template editing could be improved, but it's still quite robust and user-friendly. However, the signup workflow from Shopify only functions for customers who sign up via the form, not for those who sign up during an order, creating some friction. I hope they will include the order as a trigger in the future. To utilize more advanced channels like SMS, push notifications, and Facebook messages, I need to subscribe to a pricier plan, which might not be affordable for a small business. I opted for Omnisend because the feature-to-cost ratio is favorable. I switched to Omnisend because MailChimp stopped supporting Shopify and I didn't like their templating. The vendor responded to my feedback, suggesting a solution for the signup issue and offering further help.

Omnisend had the best offer and its features met all my needs. The introductory meeting and demo answered all my questions positively. Omnisend - A Must-Have! Exceptional Experience!
Omnisend has been amazing! Despite my friends trying to persuade me to switch to their providers, I'm hesitant to leave Omnisend due to its user-friendly interface and outstanding customer service. The initial transition of my emails was seamless and I value the copy feature that lets me effortlessly update content for new email campaigns. The customer service is always supportive and easily accessible via chat. The only problem I faced was typing in the content box, but this has been fixed. I moved to Omnisend because my former provider had awful customer service. They messed up my grand opening sale and showed no remorse. They didn't inform me about a spam prevention audit process, which led to me being unable to send out an email about my store opening. This incident still bothers me after 2 and a half years.

The platform is intuitive and user-friendly. Omnisend is always seeking feedback and making changes to enhance the platform, which I greatly value! There are some reporting opportunities that could boost efficiency in evaluating metrics. Small features within the platform could be improved for a better user experience, such as editing a campaign or sending a test email once it's been scheduled, scheduling automations in advance, and customizability of the new email builder. I chose Omnisend for its ease of use, pricing, and platform navigation. I switched to Omnisend because Personica was not able to integrate with it.
