Free

Pricing: $0 (Freemium)

Best for:

Individuals or very small groups who are just getting started with relationship management, offering essential features like real-time contact syncing and basic data enrichment for up to three seats

The Attio Free plan is your high-performance start-up platform. The Free Plan is designed for solo-founders, freelancers, or small-scale proof-of-concept use cases; anyone looking to have an all-in-one CRM with no upfront cost commitments. While the Free Plan still offers Attio's core value of auto-real time contact synchronization, and essential contact data enrichment (huge), the number of users is capped at 3, the number of objects (fields) is capped at 3, and the total number of records is capped at 50,000. This is essentially a free, experimental, or personal relationship management solution. A great way to utilize the same data driven insights that make Attio so popular prior to scaling into full blown relationship databases, validating your need for a modern relationship database in today's SaaS environment.

Real time contact syncing

Plus

Pricing: $36 / user / month

Best for:

Single teams, providing unlimited seats, private lists, enhanced email sending, and a higher record limit, making it ideal for a dedicated team looking to scale their operations

This is where one group will be able to unlock the full capabilities of Attio on the plus plan. This plan was made especially for a team that will be working together as an integrated unit to create, and maintain the same processes, and most importantly to protect them. This is the largest jump on this plan because it is offering unlimited users (seats) and private lists. Private lists are essential to protecting confidential projects or deal information from being viewed by all members of the team. With the increase in automation credits and email sending limits on the plus plan, you will no longer have to do manual work but will be able to achieve real operational efficiency. This plan would be ideal for a dedicated sales, development, or recruitment team who need to control their own data, and operate at a faster pace and collaborate much easier without having to go through multiple departments and layers of approval.

Pricing: $86 / user / month

Best for:

Growing, multi-team organizations, featuring advanced capabilities such as Call Intelligence, advanced data enrichment, priority support, and robust access permissions across multiple teams

The Pro Plan is geared towards growing organizations with multiple teams and will be useful when the organization begins to have departments (i.e., sales, marketing, customer success) working with the same data but each requiring different permissions. The Pro Plan provides all of the primary intelligence capabilities including call intelligence and advanced data enrichment, which increases the quality of the data in your records and the depth of your insights. Perhaps most important to many, the Pro Plan includes advanced access control options and team-specific functions to allow effective segmentation of who can view/access the data. For organizations that are at a growth stage where they require advanced reporting capabilities, increased limits on users/records, etc., as well as additional premium support to ensure they are able to utilize the mission-critical relational data, this plan is an ideal fit.

Best for:

Large organizations with comprehensive and custom requirements, offering the most advanced features including unlimited objects, SAML and SSO, advanced admin tools, and a full migration service

Attio Enterprise plan is suitable for larger, established businesses that require high levels of security, customization, and compliance in order to operate effectively. Forget about limitations with this plan as you can create unlimited objects and customize the number of records per object, which allows Attio to be tailored to fit your entire organizational structure. The major distinction from other plans lies in governance and control features including SAML and SSO for secure centralized access, enhanced administrative tools, and flexible invoicing. Additionally, the Enterprise plan will provide a dedicated migration service and support for multi-account synchronization across multiple accounts per user (3+ accounts) allowing for a smooth migration for thousands of users and vast volumes of historical data. This plan provides a customized solution for complex international operations.

What is the difference between Attio’s Free and Plus?

With the Free plan you receive the foundation of what makes Attio so great – the real time contact sync with basic enrichment. In addition to the foundation, the free plan allows you to use the product on yourself and/or two other users (there is a limit of three total users) and this is a good option for a single user/individual project to allow you to build your relationships database as you go. The limitations of the free plan include only being able to add three objects and have no more than 50,000 records. While we believe that this is a great way to test out Attio and begin using its data driven methodology and become addicted to it, these limitations will be reached very quickly as your business grows.

With the Plus plan, you are making a commitment to the efficiency of your team. In our opinion, the largest improvement in going from the free plan to the plus plan is moving to unlimited users and the addition of Private Lists. With the ability to create Private Lists in the plus plan, Attio becomes a secure and a standardized tool for all of the members of your team – i.e., sales and account management. These lists can be used to segment your data clearly and easily without having every member of your team see all of your data. Additionally, the Plus Plan provides a huge increase to your operational capacity by allowing you to store 250,000 records and increase the number of emails you can send. Based on this, we would recommend the Plus plan as soon as you move beyond working individually and need multiple team members to rely on the same quality of segmented data. The Plus Plan represents the transition from a personal tool to a company wide CRM tool.

What is the difference between Attio’s Pro and Enterprise?

Attio’s Pro vs Enterprise Pricing Plans differ in how they allow the organization to have a customized level of control and security over their use of the platform as opposed to merely being able to scale up the levels of functionality.

Attio’s Pro plan represents the highest tier of all paid offerings in terms of capabilities. All high growth organizations with multiple teams will be using Pro as their go-to plan. Organizations using Pro will receive everything they need to operate a data driven revenue operations function including call intelligence, 12 objects and full permission controls to organize their data and share it among different internal teams. We believe Pro provides an excellent option for organizations with complex work flows who can afford a per seat cost structure and require a 1,000,000 record capacity.

Attio’s Enterprise plan is totally different from its Pro plan. Any organization choosing the Enterprise plan is essentially saying to Attio, “my needs are not normal.” The two key differentiators between Enterprise and Pro are 1) no limits on the number of objects allowed and 2) a completely customized record limit. More importantly, Enterprise includes critical security and compliance features such as SAML and SSO (single sign on). These two features represent requirements for any large organization looking for centralized authentication. Enterprise also offers flexible billing options, advanced administrative tools, and a white glove migration services. We feel that organizations will move to Enterprise for both additional features and for the required level of security, governance, and support that a standard subscription cannot provide. We consider Enterprise to be a completely customizable solution for organizations operating globally or in highly regulated industries.

Which Attio plan should I choose for my business?

The decision of what Attio Pricing Plan best suits your business depends upon how many members of your team you have, what is the level of complexity of your operations and the extent of Data Governance you require. We can categorize companies into four general categories based on these three factors and you will want to select the category that best fits your current needs and has in mind your needs over the next twelve months:

1/ If you are a solo-entrepreneur or an early stage start-up (three users or less) then we highly recommend the free plan. The free plan is very generous and gives you the necessary Contact Syncing and Data Enrichment that Attio offers as its greatest competitive advantage.

2/ When you have a team of individuals that will be working together to achieve a specific goal such as your first sales team or a recruiting team that will be using the product exclusively then we believe the plus plan is the best choice. With the plus plan you receive unlimited seats and Private lists which are both key to maintaining the security and ability to collaborate with a team. We believe the plus plan is the most cost effective option when transitioning from a personal tool to a company-wide CRM.

3/ For larger organizations that have multiple departments that require each department to have its own area for work and also have complex data needs we recommend the pro plan. The pro plan is the first plan that allows for the management of complex, multi-department environments with advanced access permissions and call intelligence. We believe if you are a company with two or more teams that use the system such as sales and customer success then you will need pro to allow for the segmentation and reporting that you will need to run your business effectively.

4/ The enterprise plan is designed for large companies that prioritize security and/or require a customized data structure above all other considerations. If your legal team requires SAML/SSO or if your data needs to be modeled after your entire business with no limit on the number of custom objects then we recommend going directly to enterprise. An enterprise contract is a custom contract that is purchased and it is a platform that is tailored to meet your unique requirements.

Is Attio better than HubSpot?

Whether Attio is better than HubSpot depends on your business's specific needs and priorities. Attio is better suited for businesses that prioritize a simple, user-friendly CRM with customizable workflows, particularly for small to mid-sized teams seeking an affordable solution without the complexity of larger platforms

On the other hand, HubSpot is better for businesses that require a comprehensive, all-in-one platform with advanced features, integrations, and scalability to manage marketing, sales, and customer service. If your business needs a lightweight, adaptable CRM, Attio may be the better choice, whereas HubSpot is ideal for those needing robust, multi-functional capabilities.

Is Attio better than Pipedrive?

Whether Attio is better than Pipedrive depends on your specific needs. Attio's strength lies in its flexibility and customization, making it ideal for businesses that need a tailored CRM experience with extensive adaptability. Its ability to integrate diverse data structures and processes suits teams with complex or unique requirements. On the other hand, Pipedrive shines with its focus on sales pipeline management, providing a streamlined, intuitive interface that simplifies the sales process and boosts productivity for small to medium-sized businesses.

If your priority is advanced pipeline management and sales automation, Pipedrive might be more suitable. However, if you need a CRM that adapts to varied workflows and offers extensive customization, Attio could be the better choice. Ultimately, the decision hinges on whether you value a specialized sales tool or a more flexible, all-encompassing CRM solution.

Attio vs Pipedrive

Which tool is better than Attio ?

When looking at alternative platforms to Attio, we’re usually assessing the trade-off between Attio’s flexible, data-centric model and the more rigid, feature-heavy nature of its competitors.

Attio excels in relationship intelligence and data flexibility, making it ideal for unique, non-standard workflows like venture capital or strategic partnerships.

On the other side, you have the all-in-one marketing and sales suite HubSpot CRM, which is the preferred choice for companies prioritizing a deeply integrated ecosystem covering marketing, sales, and service from day one. If your focus is purely on managing a visible sales cycle, the visual pipeline tool Pipedrive offers a much more sales-centric, drag-and-drop experience.

Then, there’s Salesforce Sales Cloud, the massive, highly customizable CRM for large enterprises that need maximum governance and an unlimited level of control and integration complexity. Finally, Folk’s intuitive CRM platform is a key alternative, specifically engineered for quick setup and simple, yet effective, relationship management and email outreach.

Each platform has its niche, but Attio's unique strength lies in its ability to automatically model any relationship, not just a traditional sales funnel.

Does Attio have a free plan?

The answer is simply, yes! There is no shortage of CRM options that offer a "free" plan, but many are a limited, two-week trial forcing you to pay to use the service once the trial ends. The free plan offered by Attio is truly a valuable plan and not merely a trial plan. It's designed as a legitimate plan for single users and tiny teams (i.e., less than 2 people).

This represents a large advantage, as Attio allows you to take full advantage of its foundation of functionality (that is, its unique automated data enrichment and contact synchronization) and the benefits of a modern CRM using artificial intelligence (AI) without spending money.

We think that offering such a generous free plan illustrates the confidence that Attio has in its main product. Attio wants you to experience the dramatic impact that an AI-based CRM can bring to your business by automating the creation of your entire network of contacts. You'll receive the necessary CRM functions, the contact intelligence in real time, and be able to build your own custom pipeline from day one.

We encourage founders, independent consultants, and small, proof-of-concept teams to begin by selecting the free plan. This will allow you to evaluate whether Attio's structure and enrichment of your data are sufficient for you to scale up to a paid plan at some future date.

It also provides a practical means of entering the CRM platform that we believe offers the most innovation today.

What are the limitations of Attio's free trial?

The most obvious limitation is the three-seat cap. Clearly, this plan was created for either a single person (the founder) or an extremely small founding team of two people, both of whom will require full access. When you add in your fourth full-time employee, you’ve reached your limit. Secondarily, your total data storage capacity is also capped at 50,000 records. As stated earlier, while 50,000 may seem like a large number, historically pulling all of your past contact information into the system along with the use of aggressive enrichment features could easily exhaust your capacity before you know it, particularly when you have a significant amount of company data.

Additionally, the number of objects you can store is limited to three. So, if you want to be able to track both people and companies, you’re down to one object for items such as deals, projects, hires, etc. If your business model dictates that you need to track more than a couple of different pipeline types, you will find the three-object limit too restrictive. Lastly, the sharing and reporting capabilities are basic at best. You can only share emails via a subject line and you can only create up to three reports. To achieve true team accountability and advanced analytics, you will need the level of visibility and control provided by the paid plans. We believe that the free plan has been created to allow you to become enamored with the quality of the product, but then to move on to the Plus tier as soon as you require real team collaboration.

06 Client’s review on Attio pricing

  • Brenda Sterling

“As a founder, I was dreading the 'CRM moment', that time when you have to fork out hundreds monthly just to get basic automation. Attio’s Plus plan was a revelation. It gave us unlimited seats for our core sales team and enough automation credits to handle our entire lead nurturing sequence without instantly bumping us into some ridiculous Enterprise tier. The annual discount is a huge financial win for a startup like ours, and the transparency about what’s included, especially on the record limits, means we can actually budget properly without hidden fees. It feels like they built this pricing for the user, not just for the spreadsheet.”

  • Markus Klein

“We switched from a massive legacy platform because the cost was just out of control; we were paying for features we never touched. Attio's Pro plan, while certainly an investment, feels completely justified by the value of the intelligence it provides. The Call Intelligence and advanced data enrichment, which is all bundled into that per-user fee, has genuinely cut down the time our reps spend researching by about 30%.”

  • Sasha Chen

“The Free plan allowed me to actually use the product for months to confirm it was the right fit before committing. That alone saved me a ton of hassle. When we finally scaled up and moved to Plus, the shift was smooth, and the price point felt completely fair for the unlimited seats and the private lists feature. We needed team-wide security without the Enterprise complexity, and Attio delivered that perfectly at a fraction of the cost we were quoted by competitors. Great value proposition.”

07 Attio Q&A

How does Attio’s pricing work?

The way Attio charges customers is very easy to understand. Attio uses a standard tiered, per user, per month pricing model. But there is a big difference from other SaaS companies, Attio limits and allows features to be used by all of your users based upon the capabilities of the tier that you select.

You essentially select one of four tiers - free, plus, pro, or enterprise - and then you purchase a license for each user who will need to use the platform. If you select one of the two paid tiers (plus and pro), you get a large discount by choosing to bill annually instead of monthly. In our opinion this is a good idea, especially after you've validated that the product meets your business needs. For example, let's say the price of the plus plan is approximately $36 per user per month, but the price drops down to about $29 per user per month if you choose to bill annually. We love the fact that you can accurately budget with a predictable cost structure.

But it's not just a linear cost structure. Each tier is like a bucket that has established capacity limits - such as the amount of records that you can store (50,000 on free, 250,000 on plus, 1 million on pro), and the amount of custom objects you can create. There are also established limits on the number of automation credits that you can use on a monthly basis. If you are using a lot of automation in your workflows, these may incur additional fees. The top-tier Enterprise plan is unique in that it is custom quoted. It basically removes all limits and provides you with unlimited capacity, along with mandatory compliance features such as single sign-on (SSO) and SAML. When budgeting, we recommend that you always consider your potential future automation needs, as workflow credits are often the areas where costs may increase over time.

Why do startups choose Attio over traditional CRMs?

Really, the major reason why startups are turning to Attio over traditional CRM’s such as Salesforce or Hubspot, is due to how the data structures are designed and the operational burden of them. The way that traditional CRMs were developed was based on the sales pipeline model of the 1990’s and therefore forced you to fit into strict fields and manually input information, which can be a huge problem for fast moving startups.

In contrast to traditional CRM’s, Attio is a totally modern, relationship-centric platform. I believe its most attractive feature (for me) is the automatic data capture and enrichment. The platform automatically syncs up your team’s inboxes and calendars to provide a complete picture of relationships within your organization without having to require someone to enter every single email or meeting into the system. With the ability to automate the process of entering data, I firmly believe that for lean startups that time is essentially money, this will represent a huge increase in productivity. Additionally, I believe that founders will enjoy having the confidence knowing that their data remains clean and current without requiring a lot of work.

Another key advantage of Attio is its ability to create a flexible object model. Most startups aren’t just selling products; they are raising funds, hiring employees and developing partnerships. As previously stated, traditional CRM’s limit you to fitting everything into a "sales" pipeline, which is simply clumsy. Using Attio, you have the ability to create custom objects for whatever activities you may want to track (i.e. investors, candidates, press leads), creating an all inclusive relationship database, versus simply using the CRM as a sales tool. Due to the chaos and constant evolution of startup businesses, we highly recommend Attio because it adapts to the needs of the business rather than requiring the business to conform to the limitations of the software. The flexibility and increased efficiency of Attio can certainly be considered game changing.

Who is Attio best suited for?

Attio would be best suited to a high-growth, modern-startup type of organization, as well as other types of organizations with unique, non-traditional GTM (Go-To-Market) processes. If your business has a rigid, highly-predictable, high-volume, transaction-based sales process, then Attio may not be the right choice for you – although, a traditional CRM may be clunky but "safe."

If your business model is extremely complex , such as a product-led growth (PLG) company, a venture capital firm or B2B startup , that relies heavily on relationships and data enrichment; Attio can really shine. Attio was created specifically for companies that want to track more than just "Deals" , for example, investors, candidates, and how customers are using their products. Companies like Modal, Granola and Baton have used Attio successfully, since these companies were able to easily track many custom data objects (i.e., buyers, sellers, leads etc.) through Attio without being forced into a legacy-structured CRM.

We see Attio working perfectly at any technology-forward company, where the CRM should act as a relationship database , not a simple sales ledger. If you appreciate automatic data collection, a flexible object model, and robust enrichment capabilities that allow your teams to save hours of time per week manually entering information into Attio, we strongly believe Attio is the perfect system for you. Attio was built to grow with your flexibility, not fight it.

Does Attio justify its pricing with its features?

For the type of organization that would use this tool, we can say definitively, "yes". In comparison to other premium CRMs, Attio has a similar price point, however, its value proposition and likely its advantages are far greater for today's organizations which have become increasingly dependent on data.

Primarily, the justification comes from the automation of the manual input and enrichment of your contacts' data. At $29 - $36 per user/per month (the Plus plan) you receive real-time syncing and basic enrichment and therefore your team will spend zero hours logging every email and call. We believe the increased productivity and time gained by your sales or fundraising teams due to the elimination of the constant logging process alone will easily justify this cost compared to the traditional systems that create endless chores through manual logging.

As you move into the Pro plan ($69-$86 per user/per month) the additional features such as Call Intelligence and Advanced Data Enrichment provide an additional level of intelligence that many traditional CRMs charge for as add-on products. The Pro plan does not simply store data, it analyzes relationship strength and gains deep insight about companies using automated methods. We see Attio as an investment in data quality and operational efficiencies rather than a cost of a CRM and therefore, when viewed in this manner, the costs associated with the technology provided feel reasonable.

Which Attio pricing plan do most teams choose?

Pro pricing tier is the "sweet spot" for companies making the transition from a single sales team to an organization with multiple departments. Although the cost increase from the Plus pricing tier to the Pro pricing tier is substantial; the additional features, such as call intelligence, advanced permission functionality with unlimited teams, and 1 million records of data, make the added expense worthwhile in terms of unlocking scalability for your business.

In addition, the Pro pricing tier allows you to create up to 12 custom objects, the maximum number prior to entering the enterprise tier. This is beneficial when modeling more complicated processes such as venture capital deal flow or a more complex customer onboarding process.

Whereas the Plus pricing tier is a great entry-point for a single sales team that is growing, we feel the Pro pricing tier provides the necessary complexity, control and analytical capabilities for a company that is experiencing true complexity and is at a critical juncture in its growth and mission-critical requirements. We believe that an organization that is committed to using Attio as their relationship database for the long term will realize that they need to have the Pro pricing tier features, particularly the advanced enrichment and reporting features, to truly capitalize on the platform's full potential across the entire organization.

What tips help teams get the most value from Attio?

Getting the most value from Attio really requires a shift in mindset and a few tactical adjustments to your team’s workflow. Since Attio is built to automate data capture, maximizing its benefit is all about optimizing your process around that automation. We’ve found a few key tips that really help teams move from just using Attio to truly leveraging it:

  1. Embrace the automation first: The number one tip we give is to fully trust the platform's automatic syncing and enrichment. The biggest efficiency gain comes from reducing manual data entry to zero. If your team is still logging activities manually, you’re missing the point and paying for features you aren't using.

  1. Model everything as an object: Don't just track sales deals. Use Attio’s flexible object model to track everything important: investor relationships, recruiting pipelines, partner outreach, and even internal projects. This centralizes all your relationship intelligence, multiplying the platform's value across the entire business.

  1. Commit to annual billing for savings: If you've chosen a paid tier (Plus or Pro) and are confident in Attio for the next year, switching to annual billing is a smart financial move. Attio offers a 20% discount for paying annually instead of monthly, which is significant savings, especially for growing teams.

  1. Review your pricing plan regularly: If your usage metrics (like record count or custom objects) dip significantly, check if you can downgrade to a less expensive pricing plan. Don't pay for features like Call Intelligence in the Pro plan if your team is mostly using email and calendar syncing from the Plus plan.

  1. Check our marketplace for deals: Always make a habit of checking Attio’s promo code for discounts, promotions, or bundles before renewing or upgrading your subscription.

We strongly recommend optimizing your usage before thinking about a pricing plan downgrade, but keeping costs contained is always smart.

Is Attio cheaper than HubSpot?

The question of whether Attio is cheaper than HubSpot is one we hear constantly, and the simple answer is yes, Attio generally offers a lower entry point and a lower cost per seat for comparable core CRM features. However, it’s not an apples-to-apples comparison, which is crucial.

Here is a breakdown of why this cost difference exists:

  1. Core feature focus: Attio focuses on being the best modern, flexible, relationship-focused CRM. Its Plus plan starts around $29-$36 per user/month (depending on annual vs. monthly billing). This price includes automatic data enrichment and syncing, which are top-tier features.

  1. HubSpot's ecosystem: HubSpot, on the other hand, is an all-in-one platform. While its Sales Hub Starter can technically start cheaper (around $20 per user/month), the cost escalates rapidly once you need features like advanced automation, reporting, and, critically, any Marketing or Service Hub functionality. HubSpot is priced to make you buy the entire ecosystem.

  1. The price of complexity: In our comparison between Attio vs HubSpot, we found that HubSpot's comprehensive nature often leads to ballooning costs. You end up paying for vast features (like advanced marketing automation) that your small or growing team might not use for years.

We recommend Attio if your core need is a highly flexible, data-driven relationship platform that automates manual CRM tasks. You'll spend less on the monthly fee and get a premium core product. You only start paying significantly more with HubSpot when you commit to its entire, deep ecosystem.
