My top 3 Google AI Studio alternatives
By Shubhashree Halder, Content Manager
Leonardo AI
I use Leonardo AI when the output isn't "model responses" but rather an array of useful visual content (images for ads, mock-ups for products, etc., versions of characters). I enjoy using this type of service as it uses tokens, which can be rolled over to create a "token bank," so you don't lose your token credits at the end of every month. I also like that on their Team Plans, I can make the generations private if I want to, have multiple generations running at the same time (up to six), and then always fall-back to unlimited Relaxed Image/Video Generation with any of my selected models, as long as the fast pool has been exhausted.
HeyGen
HeyGen is what I pick when “AI output” needs to be a presenter-led video without a camera shoot. The Free plan is clearly capped (3 videos/month, up to 3 minutes, 720p), and the Creator plan ($29/month) jumps to 30‑minute videos with voice cloning, a brand kit, and 1080p export. If I need learning content distribution, Business ($149/month) adds SCORM export plus integrations like n8n, Make, HubSpot, and Zapier.
Descript
Descript clicks for me when I’m trying to “ship content” rather than prototype prompts. The workflow is built around text-based editing with speaker detection, and I regularly lean on dynamic captioning plus screen recording for tutorials. On the pricing page, the Creator tier is listed at $15/editor/month and includes watermark‑free export, up to 4K video, and 10 hours of transcription per month; the same page calls out Studio Sound, AI Eye Contact, AI Green Screen, and Overdub for voice work.
