Unable to access
I was unable to access this deal. It's not as advertised. I went around in circles for a while with Google and with Secret, but the answer was always that the deal is not available to me, even though I'm eligible, according to the description on Secret.

Powerful Yet Manageable for Small Teams
For a small engineering team, GitLab has been a good balance between power and manageability. The interface is not perfect and some admin areas take a little digging, but once people learn where things are, it becomes a very efficient daily tool

Natural Fit with Microsoft DevOps Tooling
For a team already using Microsoft products, Azure feels pretty natural. Integration with GitHub Actions, Key Vault, and Entra ID made deployments and secrets management more organized than what we had before. We also came in with a Joinsecret credit package, and having that extra runway made it easier to experiment before locking in our architecture

Easy for Non-Technical Stakeholders to Follow
I’ve used a few repository platforms over the years, and GitHub is still the one non-technical stakeholders can navigate without much coaching. The file history, blame view, and discussion threads make it easier to explain why something changed, not just what changed.

Lightweight Structure Without the Ceremony
Linear works well if your team wants structure without a lot of ceremony. Estimates, priorities, and templates give enough consistency, but it never feels heavy. The only thing I still wish was stronger is native reporting, though the existing dashboards are solid for day-to-day use

Quick GitHub Setup and Test Splitting
I’ve had a good experience using CircleCI for monorepo builds because the workflow logic is flexible enough to avoid running everything on every change. Dynamic config took some time to learn, but it ended up saving us a lot of compute and reduced noise in pull requests

Perfect for Prototyping and Scaling
I started using Convex for a side project, but it quickly became my go-to backend for all new applications. The type-safe environment gave me confidence in my code, and the ability to iterate quickly without worrying about server maintenance was a huge plus. I recently scaled my app to handle thousands of users, and Convex's real-time capabilities held up beautifully.
