For roughly six months, Adobe Express has been one of my most frequently used resources for creating high-quality, visually appealing content quickly. A major advantage of Adobe Express is that it combines the capabilities of professional design software with those of easy-to-use design platforms. When I was tasked with creating Instagram story graphics for my small business last week, I created professional looking graphics within less than ten minutes – that would’ve taken me at least an hour in Photoshop.
I was thoroughly impressed with the extensive template library. Recently, I designed a client presentation deck using the pre-built layouts in Adobe Express, and the features of brand kits made it effortless for me to apply my companies colors and fonts to each slide, saving me many hours. Although I was surprised with how well the remove background tool worked with product photos, I did find that it performed poorly with complex detail (hair) or with intricate edges.
Adobe Express is not without its limitations, however. The animation options are relatively limited as opposed to other animation/ motion graphics applications, and I became frustrated when attempting to create a more complex layout with specific positioning.
The fact that the free version of Adobe Express applies a watermark to exports forced me into paying for the service much sooner than I thought I would.
In general, Adobe Express does everything it claims: fast, accessible design for non-designers and professionals with little time to learn the skills required to produce high-quality designs.

Limited Offline Functionality
Adobe Express requires a constant internet connection to access most features, making it difficult to work on projects when connectivity is unreliable or unavailable
Restricted Free Plan Features
The free version has significant limitations including watermarks on exports, limited storage space, restricted access to premium templates and assets, which can hinder creative projects
Learning Curve for Advanced Features
While basic functions are intuitive, users may find it challenging to master more sophisticated design tools and features, especially when transitioning from other design software
Template Dependency
Heavy reliance on pre-made templates can limit creative freedom and originality, making it harder for users to create truly unique designs from scratch
Performance Issues with Complex Projects
The browser-based platform can experience lag and slower processing times when handling larger files or projects with multiple layers and high-resolution images
