My top 3 Lovable alternatives
By Edouard Rosenblum, Co-founder @Secret
bolt.new
When I want a “prompt-to-app” flow but still need real project files, I like bolt.new because I can Export → Download a .zip and run `npm install && npm run dev` locally. I’ve used it to scaffold a small React app, connect it to a Supabase project, then duplicate the project to try a risky refactor without touching the original setup. For shipping, I prefer publishing to Netlify: Bolt can connect a Netlify account, or I can run `npm run build`, download the project, and do a manual deploy on Netlify.
Quickbase
Quickbase is where I go when the “app” is really a governed database plus workflows. I can start from app templates, build web/mobile forms, and publish dashboards with 13+ report types, including grid, map, calendar, and kanban views. On Business, I can add SSO & SCIM provisioning and use a Sandbox for safer changes. Pricing is straightforward on paper (Team starts at $35/user/month annually; Business at $55), but there’s also a platform minimum fee.
Kissflow
Kissflow fits me best when the core problem is orchestration: approvals, handoffs, and visibility. Even the Basic plan is framed around “Unlimited Workflows,” while clearly limiting apps, integrations, analytics, and support, starting at $2,500/month. If I need enterprise controls, the Enterprise tier adds AI Copilot, governance, SSO & SCIM, SLA/support, and custom environments. I also like that the feature set explicitly calls out Process Builder, Decision Tables, Boards, and External Portals.

From Vague Notes to App Skeleton
bolt.new is useful if you already know what good output should look like. I would not hand it the keys to a production app without review, but for scaffolding components, basic app structure, and quick iterations, it is genuinely practical. The built-in deployment flow also helped me share drafts with teammates without extra setup

Why is bolt.new a good alternative to Lovable?
I recommend bolt.new to solo devs and small product teams who want an AI-driven starting point but refuse to be locked into a hosted editor forever. The moment I can Export → Download, I know I can put the project under my usual toolchain (local Node, my preferred editor, normal CI), and the docs even spell out the exact local command: `npm install && npm run dev`. It’s also a good fit if your deployment muscle memory is already Netlify: you can connect an account for publishing, or you can run `npm run build` and deploy manually. The duplication behavior is practical too: it preserves code/settings but won’t automatically carry over Bolt database data, and it gives clear options when Supabase is involved.

Peace of Mind: Quickbase's Robust Security Measures
I appreciate the security measures that Quickbase has in place - it gives me peace of mind knowing our sensitive data is protected
August 11, 2024
Why is Quickbase a good alternative to Lovable?
Quickbase is my pick for ops teams, program managers, and IT groups who need “apps” that are really process enforcement plus auditability. I like being able to expose information through public apps or share data with external stakeholders through secure links, while still relying on role-based access controls and audit logs. If compliance is part of the conversation, Quickbase calls out FDA/HIPAA support and the ability to sign BAAs on qualified plans, which changes what you can responsibly roll out in healthcare-adjacent workflows. On Business, SSO & SCIM provisioning and a sandbox make it easier to scale beyond a single department. The dashboard/reporting menu (including map/calendar/kanban formats) makes it usable without custom front-end work.
What are the differences between Quickbase and Lovable?
Lovable’s subscription is credit-based (plus usage-based Cloud + AI) and is designed around generating and iterating on application code, then publishing with custom domains and workspace controls. Quickbase is a low-code operations platform where the “artifact” is a governed data model plus automations: web/mobile forms, dashboards, charts, Gantt charts, and audit logs are first-class. Quickbase also layers in AI features differently: it advertises an AI app builder (“describe your app”) and an AI workflow builder (“describe what workflow you want”), alongside visual builders. Pricing diverges too: Quickbase offers a 30-day free trial, then Team starts at $35/user/month (annual) and Business at $55/user/month (annual), but it notes a separate platform minimum fee; Business adds SSO & SCIM provisioning and a sandbox.
The Kissflow tool allows you to create natively integrated and flexible applications, processes or tables, all without prior technical knowledge. This unified platform is therefore ideal for improving your productivity and smoothing your digital transition.

Mastering Tasks with Kissflow's Video Editor: A Tale of Filters and Notifications
I appreciate the added filter feature in Kissflow that lets me organize my tasks by the current day. However, the browser notifications aren't working correctly, making me refresh the page to see new tasks. I rely on my email to get notified about new tasks.

Why is Kissflow a good alternative to Lovable?
Kissflow works best for organizations where the bottleneck is approvals and cross-team handoffs, not UI polish. If I’m mapping a procurement flow, an onboarding checklist, or a facilities request pipeline, I’d rather start with workflow primitives like Process Builder, Boards, and Decision Tables than invent them from scratch. The pricing structure also signals who it’s for: Basic starts at $2,500/month and is honest about limits (apps, integrations, analytics, support) while keeping unlimited workflows, which fits teams standardizing a small number of processes. When security and scale matter, Enterprise adds SSO & SCIM, governance, SLA/support, and custom environments, which are the exact knobs I look for before rolling workflows company-wide.
What are the differences between Kissflow and Lovable?
Lovable’s Pro ($25/month) and Business ($50/month) plans are designed for teams iterating on generated code with credits, custom domains, and publishing controls like Internal publish. Kissflow’s plans are framed around “unlimited low-code apps” but with a much more enterprise procurement posture: Basic starts at $2,500/month and explicitly limits apps, integrations, analytics, and support while keeping “Unlimited Workflows.” Kissflow Enterprise is custom-priced and bundles platform-wide capabilities (AI Copilot, governance, SSO & SCIM, SLA/support, and custom environments). Functionally, Kissflow leans into workflow primitives, Process Builder, Decision Tables, Boards, and External Portals, whereas Lovable is more about quickly producing and iterating on a full app experience and then handling domains/badging/roles inside the build workspace.

The best automation tool for client work
n8n has become a core part of how I deliver client projects. The visual workflow builder lets me prototype fast, show clients exactly what’s happening in their automations, and iterate without starting over. Self-hosting gives me full control over client data, which matters when businesses care about where their information lives. The node library covers most major tools out of the box, and when a native integration doesn’t exist, the HTTP request node fills the gap. If you build automations for clients and want flexibility without ballooning costs, n8n is the strongest option I’ve found.
