Dependable sending infrastructure with stable API & webhook logging
SendGrid has worked well for a multi-product setup where each app needs its own sender identity and reporting. Subusers and API key controls make that much easier to manage than sharing one account across everything. There is a learning curve if you want to structure categories, webhooks, and sender authentication cleanly, but once you do, it scales nicely

Solid transactional deliverability & real-time webhooks
We use SendGrid mainly for transactional email, and the deliverability has been solid once SPF, DKIM, and DMARC were set up correctly. The Event Webhook is especially useful because it lets our app react to bounces and spam complaints in near real time instead of checking dashboards manually

We switched to SendGrid after repeated issues with emails landing in spam from our old provider, and the difference was noticeable within a couple of weeks. Domain authentication and dedicated IP warmup took some attention, but once that was done, open rates recovered and support tickets about missing emails dropped a lot. It is not magic, but it gives you the controls you need to fix deliverability properly

I like SendGrid for sending product updates and onboarding emails because the segmentation and scheduling tools are easy enough for a small team to use without a dedicated email specialist. The template editor is not perfect, but dynamic fields and basic automation cover most of what we need, and analytics are clear enough to spot subject lines or campaigns that are underperforming
