Proactive Financial Management: A Learning Experience with Spendesk
I had an interesting experience with Spendesk when one of our employee's cards was compromised. I was impressed to find out that Spendesk had already identified the charges as suspicious. Although we weren't immediately notified about the compromised card or questioned about the charges, it was a learning experience for us. It made us realize the importance of being proactive in such situations. In comparison to our previous credit card company, Spendesk operates differently. Our previous company would flag suspicious charges and promptly notify us to close the card and issue a new one. However, with Spendesk, we learned to take the initiative to block the card and request a new one ourselves. This experience has taught us to be more vigilant and proactive, which is a valuable lesson in today's digital world. It's clear that Spendesk is a forward-thinking company that encourages its users to be more self-reliant and proactive. I'm excited to see how this approach will help us grow and become more independent in managing our finances.

Enhancements Needed for Spendesk
I use Spendesk for making payments while traveling across the US. It's a great tool for tracking company expenses and managing and uploading receipts on the go. However, I've found that the Spendesk card isn't widely accepted, for example at Trader Joe's. The app currently only allows for taking photos of receipts. It would be a significant improvement if it could automatically recognize and adjust the borders of the receipt, converting it into a PDF. I received a response from the vendor in June 2019, thanking me for my review and informing me that their new mobile app, which includes a feature to automatically crop receipt photos, will be launching soon. They also apologized for the issues I faced overseas and assured me that my comments have been passed on to their product team for further investigation.
