Having worked with Wix on a number of projects, I would have to say my overall experience has been positive. Most recently, I helped an e-commerce boutique get their website up and running and Wix really made the process easier than it should have been. The drag and drop format was straightforward enough that I was able to create product pages, integrate payment options and products, manage inventory, etc., without my coding expertise needed, and it saved us a significant amount of development time as well as allowing my client to easily update their own website after launch.
I had another positive experience where I assisted a local nonprofit to place their brand online. The affordability and robust features offered by Wix were perfect for their limited budget. Event registration, managing members, and automated email will significantly help minimize their administrative duties.
Though, of course, not everything has been as smooth. For instance, one of my clients had already claimed their own domain name and linking to it through Wix was much less straightforward than I imagined. Wix's customer support team was extraordinarily patient and helpful, but honestly, the process could have been a whole lot easier.
And while Wix does offer lots of templates to accommodate most projects, at times I did find myself feeling a little limited when attempting to configure specific aspects of design. For instance, working with a creative professional and their project, who wanted to build something unique and say something about their brand identity, ended up seasonally constrained by available template options.
In the end though, these relatively minor inconveniences don't take away from how convenient and robust Wix is overall. With adequate features and an excellent customer service department always willing and able to assist, it is still, despite these hiccups, one of my preferred platforms, especially for individuals or small businesses wanting to easily establish themselves online.

Limited design flexibility
While Wix offers a range of customizable templates, some users feel that the design flexibility is limited in certain areas of the platform, restricting their ability to fully personalize their websites
Limited free web building options
Despite its user-friendly interface and creative features, Wix lacks in offering many options for free web building, which can be a disadvantage for those on a tight budget

Some users find Wix's pricing structure confusing and have difficulty understanding the different plans and features, which can lead to unexpected costs
Difficulty linking domains

Wix and Shopify are both popular e-commerce platforms, but they have distinct differences that cater to different types of users and business needs. Understanding these distinctions is crucial in making the right choice for your online store.
First and foremost, the target audience for Wix and Shopify varies. Wix is a versatile platform that appeals to a broad audience, from beginners to experienced users. It is designed for those who seek an easy-to-use website builder with a wide range of customization options. Wix is an excellent choice if you want to create a visually appealing website quickly, with its intuitive drag-and-drop interface and various templates.
On the other hand, Shopify is specifically tailored for e-commerce businesses. It caters to entrepreneurs and businesses looking to establish, manage, and scale their online stores effectively. Shopify offers comprehensive e-commerce features, including inventory management, order processing, and payment processing, making it...

WordPress and Wix are both popular website-building platforms that cater to different types of users and offer distinct approaches to creating websites. Despite serving a similar purpose, several key differences set them apart. The primary difference lies in the level of flexibility and control each platform offers.
WordPress is an open-source content management system (CMS) that allows for deep customization and scalability. It’s highly flexible, with thousands of themes and plugins available for users to extend its functionality. Whether you're looking to create a blog, an eCommerce store, or a business website, WordPress offers vast customization options and integrations. However, this flexibility comes with a steeper learning curve. Users need a certain level of technical skill, especially if they want to implement custom designs or advanced features.
Wix, on the other hand, is a fully hosted website builder that provides an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, making it easy for...

Wix and Squarespace are two leading platforms in the website-building industry, offering a breadth of features that allow users to create and manage their online presence effectively. Both services provide an array of design templates, drag-and-drop interfaces, and a suite of tools to create a professional-looking website. However, their approach to site creation and user experience presents distinct differences that are crucial for prospective users to consider.
The primary distinction lies in the degree of customization and control over the design process. Wix is known for its highly flexible editor, granting users the freedom to position elements anywhere on the page, which can be especially advantageous for those with a specific vision for their site. This unstructured approach allows for a high level of customization, including a vast library of apps and features that can be integrated into the site. Wix also offers an Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI) option, which can...

All-in-One Coaching Funnel Builder
For a coaching site, Wix made it easy to combine landing pages, forms, email capture, and a blog without stitching together five different services. I also happened to get a small reduction on the subscription through Joinsecret, around 10 percent if I remember right, which was a nice extra but not the main reason I chose it

Quick All-in-One Ecommerce Setup
What sold me on Wix was how easy it was to get an online store running without a long setup process. Product pages, coupon codes, abandoned cart emails, and basic shipping rules were all manageable from one dashboard, though I still wish inventory reports were a bit more detailed

Fast Drag-and-Drop Portfolio Build
I switched our portfolio site to Wix mainly for the drag-and-drop editor, and it cut out the usual back-and-forth with a freelancer. The template needed some cleanup on mobile, but once I adjusted the breakpoints and image spacing, it looked polished and loaded reliably
