My top 3 Revolut Business alternatives
By Shubhashree Halder, Content Manager
Airwallex
I go with Airwallex’s Global Accounts + Wallet when I want to have all my money in one spot, no matter where it comes from or what currency it's in, as it supports holding over 20 currencies and sending local transfers to over 120 different countries. In general, for most operations setups, I would create company-issued employee cards and enable multiple-level approvals of funds before they can be transferred. This way, the finance team does not have to click through the same process each week to make recurring payments. The fees associated with foreign exchange transactions are clearly listed and transparent (for example, .50% above inter-bank rate for the top currencies and 1% for other currencies) while SWIFT transfer costs range $15-$25 depending on the country. Additionally, Airwallex allows you to link your expenses into popular accounting systems including Xero, QuickBooks and NetSuite.
Qonto
Qonto feels built for “who can approve what” problems. I’d use its Expense & Spend Management add-on for multi-layer approval workflows, custom manager permissions, and unlimited virtual cards. For paying abroad, Qonto supports international transfers to 150+ countries in 20+ currencies, including local rails powered by Wise (often seconds to a few days). If I’m scaling supplier invoices, the Accounts Payable add-on adds OCR data extraction, duplicate detection, and configurable approval workflows.
WorldFirst
WorldFirst is my pick when the business is basically “buy cross-border, sell cross-border.” The World Account can open local currency accounts in your business name, and I like that it’s positioned around receiving marketplace payouts and paying suppliers fast (it claims 80% of payments arrive same-day). For batch operations, you can upload details to make up to 200 payments at once, and same-currency transfers between World Accounts can be instant with zero fees. It’s especially relevant if you source from China, including direct 1688.com supplier payments.

Simple Payment Links & Multi-Currency Dashboard
What I value most is the FX transparency. You can see the conversion before sending, and compared with our old bank the fees have been easier to explain internally. Support has been decent too, not instant every time, but usually practical when the issue is specific

Why is Airwallex a good alternative to Revolut Business?
I recommend Airwallex most often to teams that have (1) cross-border revenue and (2) recurring cross-border payouts. A SaaS company billing internationally can collect into Global Accounts, keep balances in the wallet in multiple currencies, and then pay contractors or vendors without forcing a conversion on every step. For finance ops, multi-layer transfer approval flows let you separate “request,” “approve,” and “release,” which matters once you have managers spending but you still want a centralized treasury function. If you’re automating workflows, the API angle is practical: you can programmatically initiate transfers or FX rather than exporting CSVs and re-uploading them. Finally, I like that fees are stated in a way I can model (0.5% above interbank for major FX; $15–$25 SWIFT), which makes forecasting easier than allowance-based plans.
What are the differences between Airwallex and Revolut Business?
Revolut Business is centered on a business account plus team cards and spend programs (limits, roles, approvals) with “business banking” ergonomics like bulk payments and accounting integrations. Airwallex overlaps on approvals and controls, but it goes wider: Global Accounts + Wallet are designed for multi-currency funds management (20+ currencies), and the product surface extends into Spend (corporate cards, expense management, bill pay, purchase orders) and platform APIs (automated FX transactions and transfers via API). On costs, Airwallex is unusually specific about FX (0.5% above interbank for major currencies; 1% for others) and SWIFT transfer fees ($15–$25/transfer), while Revolut’s economics are more about plan allowances and feature gating (e.g., bulk payments/API typically appearing on higher tiers). If I’m building finance workflows into software, Airwallex’s API-first approach is the bigger architectural difference.

Qonto has been solid for managing team spending because the virtual and physical cards are easy to issue and control, and the receipt collection works better than I expected, although a couple of merchants took longer than usual to recognize the card

Why is Qonto a good alternative to Revolut Business?
Qonto is the alternative I point to when the pain isn’t “I need more currencies,” but “I need cleaner controls and cleaner books.” A 10–100 person EU team that’s constantly chasing receipts can use Qonto’s expense tooling (receipt chasing, real-time tracking, reimbursements) and then add workflow depth through the Expense & Spend Management add-on (multi-layer approvals and custom manager permissions). If the business processes a lot of supplier invoices, the Accounts Payable add-on is concrete: OCR extraction, duplicate detection, configurable approval workflows, and payment scheduling reduce the number of times someone retypes invoice fields. On the international side, I find the Wise-powered local rails approach especially useful for paying partners abroad without defaulting everything to SWIFT. It’s a “process-first” replacement for Revolut Business.
What are the differences between Qonto and Revolut Business?
Revolut Business is often the “multi-currency account + cards + approvals” choice for teams that want broad currency handling and a single app for banking tasks. Qonto is more opinionated around operational controls and bookkeeping-style workflows: its add-ons explicitly add approval layers (Expense & Spend Management Plus) and invoice processing mechanics (Accounts Payable add-on with OCR extraction, duplicate detection, payment scheduling, and ERP-linked payment initiation). For international payments, Qonto’s model is also different: it supports transfers to 150+ countries in 20+ currencies and can use local rails through Wise, so cross-border transfers can behave more like local payments (seconds to up to 3 working days). I also find Qonto’s ecosystem leans into structured roles, manager permissions, and workflow approvals for transfers and reimbursements, whereas Revolut’s pitch is more “global account + cards + marketplace integrations.”

Batch International Payments with Clear Tracking

Why is WorldFirst a good alternative to Revolut Business?
WorldFirst is a strong alternative for importers, exporters, and marketplace-first brands that care more about collections and supplier payouts than employee card programs. If you sell on multiple marketplaces, having local receiving accounts and the ability to connect to 100+ marketplaces is the kind of feature that changes operations (you stop opening country-specific bank accounts just to get paid). On the payable side, being able to upload and run up to 200 payments at once is exactly what a lean finance team needs during weekly supplier runs. I also like the cash-flow tools around FX: holding multiple currencies, converting when rates are favorable, and even locking rates up to 24 months matches how real inventory businesses think. If Revolut Business feels card-centric for your model, WorldFirst is more “trade rails” than “expense app.”
What are the differences between WorldFirst and Revolut Business?
Revolut Business is designed for day-to-day business banking and team spend: corporate cards, spend controls, approvals, and features like bulk payments and integrations to accounting tools. WorldFirst is much more specialized around cross-border collection and supplier payment flows for trade and e-commerce. Instead of focusing on card-based spend programs, WorldFirst emphasizes local receiving accounts so marketplaces and customers can pay “like a local,” plus operational payment tooling like making up to 200 payments in one upload and tailored payment authorizations for team members. The FX side is also framed differently: WorldFirst highlights holding multiple currencies, choosing when to convert, and even locking an exchange rate for up to 24 months, which I associate more with importer/exporter cash-flow planning than employee expense policy. If your finance stack is mostly cards and reimbursements, Revolut is closer; if it’s payouts, sourcing, and marketplace settlements, WorldFirst is the more direct fit.
Revolut Business is an online account for professionals. Multi-currency, it allows you to easily trade internationally. Thanks to its comprehensive and easy-to-use features, this internet banking account is suitable for all types of businesses.

Easy Group Bills & Shared Pockets
Revolut has been a solid option for splitting shared costs with friends. The group bill feature is straightforward, notifications are instant, and I like being able to create separate pockets for trips or events. There are occasional delays when a transfer is under review, so I wouldn’t rely on it for urgent large payments, but for regular use it’s been smooth

Why is Revolut a good alternative to Revolut Business?
I find Revolut Business a great alternative to the regular Revolut services, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises. Unlike the standard Revolut, this service is specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of businesses. It offers features such as multi-currency accounts, which allow businesses to hold, receive and exchange 28 different currencies without any exchange rate markup. This is a significant advantage for companies dealing with international transactions.
Moreover, Revolut Business also provides corporate cards that can be easily managed and controlled online, making expense reporting more efficient. Not to mention, it integrates seamlessly with popular business tools like Slack, Xero and QuickBooks. These features make financial management easier and more streamlined for businesses. Hence, if you're running a business, Revolut Business is an excellent choice to consider.
What are the differences between Revolut and Revolut Business?
I have personally found that Revolut Business and Revolut differ mainly in their target users and the services they offer. Revolut is a digital banking app primarily designed for individual users. It provides services like global money transfers, budgeting tools, crypto and stock trading, and more. On the other hand, Revolut Business is specifically tailored for businesses. It offers features like multi-currency corporate cards, expense management, payroll integration, and bulk payments. It also allows for easy access to employee accounts and the ability to set individual permissions for each account. Essentially, while Revolut caters to personal finance needs, Revolut Business is geared towards managing business finances with enhanced control and flexibility.

Clear Audit Trail and Solid Basic Inventory
The feature that has helped us most in QuickBooks is the audit trail. With a few people touching the books, it is useful to see exactly what changed and when. Inventory is decent for basic needs too, though if you have very complex stock management you may still need something more specialized

Why is QuickBooks a good alternative to Revolut Business?
I believe Revolut Business is a great alternative to Quickbooks because of its unique features. Unlike Quickbooks, which is primarily an accounting software, Revolut Business offers a wide range of services including international money transfers with no hidden fees, multi-currency accounts, prepaid business cards and easy integration with accounting tools. It's a one-stop-shop solution for businesses.
Revolut Business also provides real-time spending notifications and expense management, which helps in tracking and controlling company expenses effectively. Its user-friendly interface makes it easier to manage transactions and payments. Plus, it offers 24/7 customer support to resolve any queries or issues. Thus, for businesses looking for more than just accounting software, Revolut Business proves to be a comprehensive and cost-effective solution.
What are the differences between QuickBooks and Revolut Business?
As a user, I find that Revolut Business and QuickBooks serve different functions for businesses. Revolut Business is a business account provided by the digital banking app, Revolut. It offers features such as international payments in multiple currencies, prepaid business cards, and integration with popular accounting tools. It primarily focuses on managing business finances and transactions.
In a slightly different way, QuickBooks is an accounting software package developed by Intuit. It provides a comprehensive suite of accounting and financial tools for businesses such as payroll management, invoice generation, expense tracking, and tax preparation. It's more focused on the accounting aspect of a business.
In essence, while there might be some overlap in services, Revolut Business is more about banking and transaction handling, whereas QuickBooks is more centered around accounting and financial management.

Better control without slowing the team down
One thing I really like is setting custom card limits and approval rules. For example, our sales team can book travel directly using company cards, but anything above a certain amount triggers an approval request. It keeps spending controlled without forcing employees to wait days for reimbursements, which has honestly improved team satisfaction a lot.

Got funding without the usual runaround
I needed £15k to buy a second van and stock for a big contract. Checked my eligibility through Tide in about ten minutes, no hit to my credit score, and had offers from a few lenders to compare the same day. The money landed within the week. Knocking off a star because I'd love phone support on the standard plan, but the loan process itself was miles easier than what my high street bank put me through last time.
