Why is Mercury a good alternative to Brex?
As a business owner, I find Brex to be a great alternative to Mercury. Brex provides a comprehensive solution for businesses by offering a range of financial products such as corporate cards, cash management accounts, and spend management software. Unlike Mercury, which is more focused on banking services, Brex provides a broader range of services designed to help businesses manage their finances more effectively.
Furthermore, Brex offers rewards and points on every dollar spent, which can be redeemed for travel, gift cards, or even cash. This is something that Mercury doesn't offer. Also, the application process of Brex is entirely online and they don't require a personal guarantee, making it more accessible for startups and small businesses. So, for these reasons, I believe Brex is a good alternative to Mercury.

Utilized Expensify for my NY Trip
I used Expensify for my job interview trip to NY. All my expenses including airfare, meals, hotel, Airbnb, and car transportation were managed through my Expensify account. I was reimbursed the next day after my trip as all my expenditures were transparent to my prospective employer.

Why is Expensify a good alternative to Brex?
I find Brex to be a compelling alternative to Expensify due to its unique benefits. Firstly, Brex offers a comprehensive expense management system with seamless integrations, making it easier to track and manage expenses. It also provides corporate cards with no personal guarantee required, which is significantly beneficial for businesses.
Moreover, Brex's rewards program is quite impressive. It offers points on every purchase and these points can be redeemed for travel, gift cards, or even cash. This makes it a cost-effective solution for companies. In addition, their customer service is excellent and they offer real-time reporting tools that provide valuable insights into spending patterns.
In comparison to Expensify, Brex seems to provide more features and flexibility in terms of expense management, making it a great alternative.

Flexible Spending Limits: Empowering Organizational Control with Spendesk
I appreciate the flexibility that Spendesk offers, allowing us to set specific spending limits for different departments in our organization
October 22, 2024
Why is Spendesk a good alternative to Brex?
As a business owner, I find Brex to be a great alternative to Spendesk. Firstly, Brex offers a range of credit cards tailored specifically for startups, ecommerce, and life sciences businesses. This customization allows for more suitable and efficient financial management. Secondly, unlike Spendesk which requires a monthly subscription, Brex operates on a transactional basis, which can be more cost-effective for businesses with fluctuating expenses.
Additionally, Brex provides higher credit limits and longer billing cycles, helping businesses with cash flow management. Moreover, their rewards program is quite competitive with points redeemable for travel, gift cards or even cash back. Lastly, their integration with accounting software like QuickBooks and Xero simplifies expense tracking and reporting. For these reasons, I consider Brex a strong alternative to Spendesk.
What are the differences between Spendesk and Brex?
As a user of both Brex and Spendesk, I can identify several key differences. Brex, a San Francisco-based fintech company, offers a corporate card for startups with no personal guarantee or security deposit required. It also provides expense management tools, rewards programs, and EMI options. Brex caters primarily to tech startups, e-commerce, and life sciences companies.
On the other hand, Spendesk, based in Paris, offers a comprehensive spend management platform that includes prepaid corporate cards, invoice management, expense reimbursements, and budgeting tools. It serves a broader range of businesses across different industries. While both offer robust solutions for managing business expenses, the primary difference lies in their target customers and the specific financial products they offer.

Effortless Operation with Airbase
My overall experience with Airbase has been fantastic. It has allowed us to close more accurately and promptly. We no longer have difficulties determining the expenditure on various cards as they have all been pre-categorized. Despite the initial setup taking a bit longer, it's worth it for the precision. The best feature of Airbase is its seamless integration with QBO. This enables me to establish prepaids on Airbase that automatically sync to QBO for a monthly close. Cards are automatically programmed to charge a specific GL code, removing the need to revisit monthly to determine the expenditure and where to charge it. However, when making some entries, it doesn't adopt a new naming convention but uses the most recent journal entry naming convention for the journal entry title, which can be confusing. We switched to Airbase because we desired more accuracy, promptness, and a comprehensive product.

Exploring the Strengths and Weaknesses of SAP Concur
Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with SAP Concur. I don't travel often, so the time it takes to book and report expenses is bearable. As an admin, setting up new users can be complicated and I can't do it without notes, but this could be more related to my company's policies than the software itself. Reimbursing expenses is simple and practical. However, the online booking feature can be time-consuming. When I select flights and try to book, another screen appears with alternative flights, which extends the process.

Credit Card Flexibility for Any Vendor
What I appreciate most is being able to pay a supplier with a credit card even when they only want a bank transfer or check. That flexibility has helped with cash flow during slower months, even if I use it selectively because of the fee
May 31, 2026
Why is Melio a good alternative to Brex?
I find Melio to be a great alternative to Brex due to its simple and user-friendly interface. It enables businesses of all sizes to manage their accounts payable digitally, making the payment process more efficient. Unlike Brex, Melio offers a more flexible payment system, allowing you to pay bills using a bank transfer or credit card, even if your vendors only accept checks.
Moreover, Melio doesn't require a minimum deposit or a commitment period. This flexibility is especially beneficial for small businesses or startups that need to maintain liquidity. In addition, while Brex has its own set of advantages like rewards and expense management, Melio's focus on simplifying and digitizing payments makes it a strong contender in the field of business finance solutions.
What are the differences between Melio and Brex?
I have found that Melio and Brex, while both are financial services platforms, have distinct differences in their operations. Melio is primarily designed to simplify the accounts payable process for small businesses. It allows businesses to pay their bills using bank transfers or credit cards, even if recipients only accept checks. It focuses on flexibility in payment methods and timing.
On the other side, Brex operates as a financial operating system for businesses. It offers cash management accounts, corporate cards, and spend management software. Its main focus is on providing a unified view of a company's spending and simplifying expense management. While both platforms aim to streamline financial processes for businesses, Melio focuses on facilitating payments while Brex provides a more comprehensive solution for managing business finances.

Mustapha Delli
Nothing works
Difficulty related to the fact that transfers cannot be made to another account beyond this prohibition. Soldo blocks the card without giving a reason. Difficulty withdrawing cash at an ATM when my account is positive and I have correctly set up the services for my card VLAN. Same, transaction declined without a real explanation; no advisor available on weekends, so if your card is blocked, too bad for you. It's really not serious; that's why I'm leaving a negative review. Why block the card instead of simply letting us know that the transaction isn't possible? I am absolutely not satisfied with this card.
November 8, 2024
Why is Soldo a good alternative to Brex?
I find Soldo to be a great alternative to Brex because of its extensive features and flexibility. Soldo provides a comprehensive expense management solution that includes prepaid business cards, an integrated app, and a powerful management dashboard. This allows for real-time tracking of company expenses, efficient budget management, and easy integration with existing accounting software. Unlike Brex, Soldo offers a multi-currency card which can be extremely beneficial for businesses operating internationally. It also has a more flexible eligibility criterion which makes it accessible to a wider range of businesses, including smaller startups and those with lower credit scores. Moreover, Soldo's customer service is highly responsive and reliable, providing quick assistance when needed. In short, Soldo offers an all-inclusive, user-friendly platform for managing business expenses efficiently and effectively.
What are the differences between Soldo and Brex?
As a user, I have noticed several key differences between Soldo and Brex. Soldo is an expense management software based in Europe that offers prepaid business cards to help companies control their spending. It provides features like automated expense reporting, budgeting controls, and integration with accounting systems. On the other hand, Brex is a corporate card for technology companies based in the United States. It provides credit without personal guarantees or security deposits. Brex emphasizes its rewards program, offering points for rideshares, travel, and restaurants. Also, Brex has a unique underwriting model where it extends credit based on the cash a company has raised rather than traditional credit scores. In summary, while both provide solutions for business expenses, Soldo focuses more on expense management and control, whereas Brex is more geared towards offering credit and rewards for tech startups.
