My top 3 Zoom Video Webinars alternatives
By Mary O'Brien, Customer Success Manager
I have explored various alternatives to Zoom Video Webinars and found three that stand out: BlueJeans Meeting, WebEx, and GoTo Webinar.
BlueJeans Meetings
BlueJeans Meeting is a great alternative to Zoom, with reliable video and audio conferencing capabilities that work for businesses of any size. It has features like easy screen sharing, meeting recording, and meeting scheduling. Marketing teams can collaborate together and work on projects remotely, share presentations, and even record meetings to look back on later. In short, if you're thinking about substituting Zoom Video Webinars, then BlueJeans Meeting is with exploring-it has a nice user experience and has powerful collaboration tools that can facilitate remote collaboration together.
Webex
WebEx is another excellent choice for webinars and online meetings. It's a versatile platform that supports video conferencing, online meetings, screen sharing, and more. With its robust security measures, it's a reliable choice for businesses dealing with sensitive information. For instance, a financial company can use WebEx to conduct confidential client meetings or internal team meetings securely.
GoTo Webinar
GoTo Webinar is specifically designed for webinars and thus offers a range of features tailored to this purpose. It allows you to create and send out invitations, manage registrations, and even conduct polls during the webinar. This makes it an ideal tool for companies looking to host educational webinars or product demonstrations. For example, a software company can use GoTo Webinar to demonstrate their new product features to their customers worldwide.

Why is BlueJeans Meetings a good alternative to Zoom Video Webinars?
I find Zoom Video Webinars to be a great alternative to BlueJeans Meeting for several reasons. First, Zoom offers a more user-friendly interface which makes it easy to navigate and use, even for those who are not tech-savvy. Second, the video and audio quality in Zoom is consistently high, ensuring clear communication during meetings. Thirdly, Zoom's breakout rooms feature allows for small group discussions within a larger meeting, a feature not available in BlueJeans. Additionally, Zoom has a larger user base which means there's a higher chance that participants already have the app installed on their devices, making it easier to join meetings. Lastly, Zoom provides excellent customer support with quick response times.
What are the differences between BlueJeans Meetings and Zoom Video Webinars?
I have noticed several key differences between Zoom Video Webinars and BlueJeans Meetings. Firstly, Zoom Video Webinars are designed for larger audiences with a capacity of up to 10,000 view-only attendees, whereas BlueJeans Meetings are more suited for smaller groups and collaborative sessions. Secondly, Zoom offers advanced features such as Q&A, polling, and attendee raise hand which are not available on BlueJeans Meetings. However, BlueJeans provides Dolby-powered directional audio which gives a sense of spatial awareness in meetings, an advantage over Zoom. In terms of security, both platforms provide end-to-end encryption but Zoom has faced some criticism over its privacy policies. Lastly, while both offer integrations with various applications, Zoom's compatibility with hardware like smartboards and conference room systems is more extensive than BlueJeans'. Therefore, the choice between the two would depend on your specific needs and requirements.
Webex is a video conferencing software that offers remote collaboration, virtual meetings, and webinars for businesses and individuals. Its value lies in its ability to connect people from anywhere in the world, enabling effective communication and collaboration regardless of location or device.

Why is Webex a good alternative to Zoom Video Webinars?
As a frequent user of video conferencing tools, I find Zoom Video Webinars to be a superior alternative to WebEx. Zoom offers an intuitive, user-friendly interface that makes it easy for anyone to use, regardless of their tech-savviness. It also provides high-quality audio and video, ensuring clear communication during meetings or webinars. Moreover, Zoom's pricing is more flexible and affordable compared to WebEx, making it a cost-effective choice for businesses of all sizes. Its robust features such as screen sharing, recording options, breakout rooms and interactive polls enhance engagement and productivity during virtual sessions. Furthermore, Zoom's compatibility with various devices and operating systems adds to its convenience. Therefore, its ease of use, affordability, quality and versatility make Zoom a great alternative to WebEx.
What are the differences between Webex and Zoom Video Webinars?
I have used both Zoom Video Webinars and Webex for online meetings and webinars. They both offer video conferencing, but there are some differences. Zoom is more user-friendly with a simple interface, making it easier for people to join meetings or webinars. It also has a feature called 'breakout rooms' which allows participants to be split into smaller groups, something not available in Webex. On the other hand, Webex offers more advanced features like whiteboarding and annotation tools which are great for collaboration.
Regarding the pricing, Zoom's paid plans are generally cheaper than Webex's. However, Webex provides a full-featured free plan that includes up to 100 participants and no time limit on meetings, whereas Zoom's free plan has a 40-minute limit on group meetings. In terms of security, both platforms provide end-to-end encryption, but Webex has a slightly better reputation due to Cisco's long history in networking and security.
GoTo Webinar provides a platform for hosting and attending webinars, allowing businesses to connect with audiences worldwide, generate leads, educate their audience, and build brand credibility.

Why is GoTo Webinar a good alternative to Zoom Video Webinars?
I find Zoom Video Webinars to be a great alternative to GoToWebinar for several reasons. Firstly, Zoom offers high-quality video and audio, which is essential for a smooth and professional webinar experience. Secondly, it's user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for both hosts and attendees to navigate. Thirdly, Zoom provides robust features such as screen sharing, recording, live chat, Q&A, and breakout rooms that help in engaging the audience effectively. Additionally, it supports a large number of participants which is beneficial for large-scale webinars. The pricing plans are also flexible with options for different needs and budgets. Lastly, Zoom's integration capabilities with various tools like Outlook, Google Calendar or Slack enhance its functionality and convenience.
What are the differences between GoTo Webinar and Zoom Video Webinars?
I compared the 2 services and noticed that Zoom Video Webinars and GoTo Webinar both offer robust platforms for hosting online meetings, webinars, and conferences. However, there are some key differences between the two. Zoom Video Webinars tend to be more user-friendly with a clean interface and easy-to-use features. It also offers high-quality video and audio, which is crucial for large webinars.
On the other hand, GoTo Webinar offers more advanced features such as detailed analytics and reporting tools, making it a better choice for businesses that need to track webinar performance closely. Additionally, GoTo Webinar has been around longer than Zoom, so it has a more established reputation in the industry. However, it can be more expensive than Zoom, depending on the plan you choose.
Ultimately, the choice between Zoom Video Webinars and GoTo Webinar depends on your specific needs and budget.

Practical, Easy-to-Run Webinar Basics
We used Livestorm for a monthly webinar series and it has been one of the easier platforms to manage. Reminder emails, replay sharing, and basic engagement tools are all built in, so there is less duct tape between apps. We also got it through Joinsecret, and the free option for up to 25 live attendees was enough for our first few sessions while we figured out attendance patterns

Smooth Scheduling Across Time Zones
We use Zoom for weekly project reviews across three time zones, and the scheduling side has been pretty painless with Outlook. I also liked that we found a Joinsecret offer that reduced the annual Workplace Pro plan by about $20 per user, which helped a bit since we were rolling it out to the whole team.
