Finally a serious alternative to custom LLM backends
I have built LLM features from scratch before, and it is always the same pain: prompt versions, logging, retries, monitoring. Dify gave us a proper backend out of the box. We used it to power an AI feature inside our SaaS app via API, without exposing anything to end users. It felt much closer to real software engineering than most no-code AI tools.

Open-source was a big trust factor
We work in a regulated environment, so sending data to random AI platforms was not an option. Being able to self-host Dify was a huge plus. We deployed it internally, connected it to our private data, and kept full control over access and logs.

Perfect balance
What I really like is that Dify does not lock you into a toy interface. I used the visual workflow builder to design agent logic, but still had full control over prompts, APIs, and deployment.
