My top 3 DocSend alternatives
By Mary O'Brien, Customer Success Manager
Box
When I want to have DocSend style file-sharing that includes all aspects of company-wide governance; I use Box. I am able to create a client ready "hub" with Box Hubs, share files as links or from shared folders, and still be able to tightly control who has access to collaborate externally (unlimited external collaborators available on the Business Plus plan). In order to run an efficient process when doing a fundraiser or diligence process, I prefer to use structured folder names along with metadata fields that will allow me to search contracts based on their regional location and date rather than having to go through the time-consuming task of searching through file names. If there are documents that require signatures; then, Box Sign is integrated directly within Box, so I am not required to utilize a separate e-signature provider to complete the transaction.
Docusign
When signature throughput matters more than “who read page 7,” I default to DocuSign. The plan structure is envelope-based, which maps cleanly to operational teams: Personal includes 5 envelopes/month, and Standard/Business Pro include up to 100 envelopes per user per year on annual plans (or up to 10/month on monthly plans). I also like that bulk send and PowerForms exist for high-volume signing workflows where DocSend’s viewer analytics aren’t the main KPI.
PandaDoc
For sales teams, PandaDoc feels closer to “send, track, and close” than DocSend because the document itself is interactive: drag-and-drop editor, a content library for reusable blocks, and built-in deal rooms. On the Business plan, I can add approval workflows and push quotes/contracts via CRM integrations, then use bulk send or web forms when I’m collecting many similar signatures. Pricing is straightforward: Starter at $19/user/month billed annually; Business at $49/user/month billed annually.

Balanced Usability and Admin Control (Joinsecret Perk)
Box has been a good middle ground between ease of use and admin control, especially with folder-level permissions and audit trails, and I appreciated finding a Joinsecret perk that handled the first two months since it gave us room to test integrations before the billing kicked in

Why is Box a good alternative to DocSend?
I recommend Box when the buyer is an IT/security owner or an ops leader who’s tired of one-off DocSend links living outside a governed content system. If your team needs to collaborate with many external parties (agencies, investors, clients) without constantly buying guest seats, the Business Plus plan’s “unlimited external collaborators” is a very practical lever. I also like Box when you want a single place to store, permission, and later reuse the same content across multiple deals, especially when metadata-based organization matters (e.g., tagging contracts by region and renewal date so search is structured, not guesswork). And if you’re standardizing on one vendor, having e-signature built in via Box Sign reduces tool sprawl compared with pairing DocSend + a separate signature product.
What are the differences between Box and DocSend?
Full list of alternatives on the provided page: GetAccept, Dropbox Sign (formerly HelloSign), Docusign, Box, Proposify, signNow, PandaDoc, Cacheflow, Fiverr Workspace, PitchBob, eFileCabinet, Showell. Box vs DocSend comes down to “content platform” versus “deal-intel sharing.” In DocSend, I’m typically sending a single tracked link, relying on per-page analytics for PDFs/Docs/Slides, and layering security like viewer verification, watermarking, and One‑Click NDA on the Advanced plan. With Box, I’m organizing content across teams (shared folders, links, and governance) and then optionally adding signing via Box Sign (signature-request quotas vary by plan, and business tiers include native e-sign). If I need structured portals, Box Hubs shows up in Box’s enterprise tiers, which is a different model than DocSend’s lightweight deal rooms.

Streamlined Onboarding With Sign + Payment
PandaDoc has been reliable for client onboarding. We send agreements, collect signatures, and request payment in one flow, which is easier for clients than juggling multiple links. We found it through Joinsecret and ended up getting around 20% off for the first year, which helped while we were still testing new tools

Why is PandaDoc a good alternative to DocSend?
I like PandaDoc most for revenue teams (sales, partnerships, customer success) that need the document to be the workflow. If you’re sending proposals that change per customer, the drag-and-drop editor plus reusable content blocks and branding controls help keep “version 19_final_FINAL.pdf” from becoming your process. Business plan features like approval workflows, deal rooms, web forms, and bulk send matter when you’re running repeatable motions (renewals, order forms, services SOWs) and need internal controls before anything goes out the door. I also find PandaDoc easier to pilot than many DocSend replacements because the pricing anchors are explicit ($19/user/month Starter, $49/user/month Business, billed annually), so I can map cost directly to seat count and rollout scope.

Effortless E-Signing with DocuSign!
I find DocuSign to be extremely convenient and secure for signing offer letters and contracts. It's simple to sign a contract and send it back to recruiters. I feel safe using it as it doesn't leave a paper trail, thus protecting my information from unwanted scrutiny. Sharing documents between different signees is also made easy. The platform is user-friendly and easy to comprehend from the get-go. I value the feature that allows saving signatures for future use. However, I think the interface could benefit from a makeover and adding signatures can initially be a bit tricky. I opted for DocuSign because it was more cost-effective than other options and provided excellent support.

Why is Docusign a good alternative to DocSend?
I point teams to DocuSign when signatures are the bottleneck: legal ops, HR onboarding, procurement, finance, and any group that lives in “send for signature” all day. The envelope allowance model gives me a concrete capacity plan (Personal: 5 envelopes/month; Standard/Business Pro annual: up to 100 envelopes per user per year; monthly: up to 10/month), which is useful when forecasting intake. If your stakeholders care more about completion, audit trail, and consistent templates than about reader engagement analytics, DocuSign is a better fit than DocSend’s analytics-first workflow. I still keep DocSend in mind for fundraising/data-room style sharing, but for high-volume operational signatures, I’ve found DocuSign’s structure aligns better with the way those teams measure work.

Solid Integrations and Easy Export (Great Annual Deal)
We use signNow for client service agreements and internal approval forms. The integrations are decent, and exporting completed documents is straightforward. I found a reduced annual rate through Joinsecret, close to 60 percent off, so we committed for the year, and so far it has been worth it for the time saved alone.

Smoother Sales–Finance Handoffs
I found Cacheflow especially useful for approvals and handoff between sales and finance. Reps can generate accurate order forms quickly, finance gets cleaner data, and customers have a smoother checkout experience. We came in through a Joinsecret perk that covered a $5k package for early-stage teams, and that helped justify trying it before we were fully scaled

Fiverr Workspace: A Promising Start, Then a Downhill Slide
I initially found Fiverr Workspace promising. However, after a few mistakes, I lost access to my account within days. Despite giving my username and email to Customer Service multiple times, they claimed they couldn't find my account. I even sent them a screenshot of my dashboard as proof, but they kept asking for my details. I was initially excited about Fiverr Workspace as it seemed to have everything I needed - great features, ease of use, and an unbeatable price. However, my experience quickly turned sour. My interactions with Customer Service were disappointing. Despite providing my account information multiple times and even sending screenshots of my activity, they couldn't locate my account in their system, which did not inspire confidence.

Excellent Tool for Efficient Data Management
I really appreciate the simplicity of efilecabinet. It's easy for my team and I to navigate through the program and find everything we need. I like that it alerts us to check back on files if we leave them open while working on another project. I also enjoy the scanning features which make our data entry process faster. Setting up our efile scanner was a bit time-consuming and we needed help from the support desk. However, once it was set up, we haven't had any problems. The vendor responded to my review, thanked us and assured us of their ongoing support. They also mentioned that their customer success team is always ready to help if we need further assistance.

Showell: Streamlining Sales Material Management for Companies!
Overall, Showell has been beneficial to our company, saving our sales team time by consolidating all sales materials in one place. The mobile app is a great feature, enabling us to work offline and engage with customers anywhere, even in remote locations. Personally, I've experienced few issues. The design could be more attractive, but from a usage perspective, I've had no problems. The vendor responded positively to my review, expressing their pleasure that Showell has helped our team save time by having all content in one place, even when offline.

Why is Showell a good alternative to DocSend?
I find Showell to be a great alternative to DocSend due to its impressive range of features. Showell not only allows for the sharing of documents but also provides a comprehensive platform for sales enablement. It offers the ability to create, manage, and distribute content efficiently. Moreover, it supports multiple file formats, making it more versatile than DocSend.
Another standout feature is its offline accessibility. This means you can access your files even without an internet connection, which is extremely useful for on-the-go professionals. In terms of user interface, Showell is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it user-friendly even for those who are not tech-savvy.
Moreover, Showell also offers detailed analytics, giving insights into how your content is being used and engaged with. This can be a valuable tool for improving your content strategy and driving better results.
What are the differences between Showell and DocSend?
As a user, I find Showell and DocSend to be distinct in their functionalities and purpose. Showell is primarily a sales enablement tool designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of sales teams. It offers features such as content management, sales automation, training and coaching. It essentially aids in providing the right information at the right time to the sales team.
In a slightly different way, DocSend is more of a document management software that allows users to share, track, and control documents. It provides insights on who is viewing the document, how much time they spend on each page, and allows you to update documents even after sending them. Thus, while Showell is more focused on enhancing sales engagements, DocSend is centered around document control and tracking.
