Flexible Customization and Structured Capabilities with SYSPRO
Overall, my experience with the SYSPRO software has been positive. It fulfills our requirements for an ERP software, offering a range of screen customization and scripting to achieve the desired results. Its integration with third-party software through Business Objects allows us to achieve almost any functionality and automation level. However, the documentation on third-party interfacing is not comprehensive, sometimes requiring some guesswork. Also, new port releases are typically a bit uncertain, so it's advisable to wait a few weeks before upgrading.

Syspro: A Highly Stable and Customizable Software Experience!
I believe that Syspro is a constantly evolving software that leverages the latest technology without the need for frequent user retraining. This allows me to focus on implementing the most beneficial features. There are numerous resources and a large user base with years of experience, providing invaluable practical knowledge. I appreciate the option to select only the modules I need. Syspro understands that they can't create a perfect solution for every business aspect globally, so they offer accessible interfaces to specialized software. The flexibility, low maintenance, and ease of implementation are key features for me. However, the data integrity checks or balance functions can only be run when no other users are using the software. While these can be automated to run at night, there are times when I need to run them during the day, such as after a power failure at a remote branch, causing over 20 minutes of downtime. I believe this issue will be addressed in the next release.

Reflecting on SYSPRO: A Powerful ERP Solution
I strongly believe that SYSPRO ERP is a robust solution, capable of performing functions beyond what most users require. I appreciate its ability to query data to meet any company's reporting needs, if set up correctly. It can work with Access, Crystal Reports, and even export list views to Excel. I feel that SYSPRO genuinely listens and cares about what their system can offer and is cooperative in finding solutions that suit my business. I have great respect for their California development and support teams, who have always been responsive to our needs. However, there are some aspects of the software that I don't like, such as some of their stock and non-stock features. For example, we don't use ATP or MRP as they are written because they don't fit our business. Landed Cost Tracking is a great tool when set up correctly. EDI is also useful, but it usually ties into their shipping solution, which is essentially a third-party solution.

I have been utilizing Syspro since 1999 and consider it an exceptional tool for managing my business. I employ Syspro for both my local and global operations, and it flawlessly integrates all facets of my business. I have total visibility across my entire business at any moment. I utilize nearly all of the core modules that Syspro provides, such as accounting, inventory, sales, WIP, Purchasing, etc. I find the software to be quick, stable, and extremely precise, which I value most about it. I believe that stability and accuracy should be top priorities for anyone seeking an ERP, and I've witnessed many other products fail in these areas. With Syspro, everything just functions. I operate a distributed system across a WAN with numerous users in different locations, and everything reconciles perfectly. I seldom encounter any problems with Syspro's functionality. Another excellent feature is its data openness. I've developed numerous applications to enhance functionality and align the software more.
