The modules in Syspro are consistent and customizable, which makes it easy for me to navigate through different modules. This also streamlines the customization process for administrators since each module is customized in the same way. The software is highly adaptable and designed to fit the workflow and business practices of various companies across different industries. This means it can be easily tailored to meet my needs. However, due to its broad applicability, there are many visible fields and settings that may not be relevant to every industry. It can be time-consuming to sift through and clean up every window that users see to avoid confusion. The same goes for the security settings. Although some security settings are grouped, it takes a significant amount of time to select which programs operators can access, among other controls.

It encompasses all the features I need from an ERP and can easily integrate with third-party software for more complex functionalities. Many companies offer out-of-the-box Syspro integration and there's a strong user community. Syspro's customization options let me adapt the product to my company's needs without concerns about unsupported customizations or future upgrades. Administering the software is also straightforward. The only drawback is that if you're not using the latest version supporting the browser-based interface, remote access for salespeople can be cumbersome, requiring access to a Windows PC via VPN or remote desktop. However, the browser-based product appears to be more mobile-friendly.

SysPro: A Comprehensive ERP Solution for Diverse Small to Medium Businesses
I find SysPro to be a comprehensive ERP solution suitable for both distribution and manufacturing companies. I believe it could also be used by service companies as it's licensed by module and can be tailored to each organization's needs. The accounting and finance section is robust and the general ledger can accommodate large organizations. The inventory and warehouse management features are comprehensive and require minimal customization. I think most of the customization can be done in-house using the power-tailoring capabilities. The software also allows each user to have a unique interface with personalized colors, fonts, and graphics. However, browsing is limited to a small number of records unless you're willing to wait for results. Alternatively, you can use MS-Query or SQL Server Management Studio for quick and accurate results. I've found many of the system reports to be not very useful, but you can design your own reports or use your own queries.
