My top 3 NetSuite alternatives
By Jean-Loup Karst, Co-founder @Secret
SAP S/4HANA Cloud
SAP ERP Hana Cloud is another excellent alternative to NetSuite. It is an enterprise resource planning software that integrates all facets of an operation, including product planning, manufacturing, sales, and marketing. A manufacturing company, for example, could use SAP ERP Hana Cloud to streamline their production process by integrating supply chain management, production planning, and sales forecasting into one platform. This results in improved efficiency and productivity.
Salesforce Sales Cloud
Salesforce Sales Cloud is a customer relationship management (CRM) tool that helps businesses manage their relationships and interactions with customers. It offers features such as contact management, opportunity management, and sales forecasting. A sales team in a tech company could use Salesforce Sales Cloud to track their interactions with potential clients, manage their sales pipeline, and forecast future sales based on historical data. This helps them to stay organized and make data-driven decisions.
QuickBooks
QuickBooks is a versatile accounting tool that's especially helpful for small and medium-sized businesses. It offers practical features like invoicing, expense tracking, and detailed reporting. For example, a retail business could easily manage inventory, monitor sales, and generate financial reports using QuickBooks. Its user friendly interface and seamless integration with other business tools make it accessible even for those without accounting backgrounds.
If you're considering QuickBooks as an alternative to NetSuite, it's worth noting that QuickBooks is typically easier to set up and more budget-friendly, making it ideal for smaller businesses or those just starting out. However, if your business has complex requirements or needs extensive customization and scalability, NetSuite might still be the better choice.
List of Alternatives to NetSuite
Here are some of NetSuite's top competitors in the ERP category: SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Oracle NetSuite or Sage Intacct.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is an intelligent, integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) system designed to run on the SAP HANA in-memory database. As a cloud-based solution, it offers flexibility, scalability, and the capability to drive business innovation by leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and best practices for various industries.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud compared to NetSuite
SAP S/4HANA Cloud has better positive reviews than NetSuite: 90 vs 81
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is better at customer support than NetSuite: 4.2 vs 3.5
NetSuite is better at ease to use than SAP S/4HANA Cloud: 4.0 vs 3.7
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is better at value for money than NetSuite: 3.9 vs 3.7
NetSuite has more features than SAP S/4HANA Cloud: 315 vs 35
Why is SAP S/4HANA Cloud a good alternative to NetSuite?
I find NetSuite a compelling alternative to SAP ERP HANA Cloud due to its comprehensive suite of applications that cover all aspects of business operations. It offers robust financial management, customer relationship management (CRM), and ecommerce capabilities, which are easily scalable and customizable to fit any business size or industry. Unlike SAP, NetSuite is built on a single unified data model, which means information is shared seamlessly across all departments, enhancing visibility and efficiency. Furthermore, NetSuite's user-friendly interface and intuitive design make it easier to navigate and use compared to the more complex SAP system. Lastly, NetSuite's pricing structure is more flexible and cost-effective, especially for small to medium-sized businesses.
What are the differences between SAP S/4HANA Cloud and NetSuite?
I find that NetSuite and SAP ERP HANA Cloud have distinct features and uses. NetSuite is a cloud-based solution that provides comprehensive functionalities for Financials, CRM, HR, and eCommerce. It's designed for small to mid-sized businesses and offers real-time access to critical information. It's also known for its user-friendly interface and ease of customization.
On the other hand, SAP ERP HANA Cloud is a more robust and complex system suitable for large enterprises. It offers advanced analytics capabilities due to its in-memory computing engine, HANA. This allows businesses to process large volumes of data in real-time. However, it may require more technical expertise to fully utilize its functionalities.
In summary, the choice between NetSuite and SAP ERP HANA Cloud would depend on the size of your business, your specific needs, and the level of technical expertise available within your organization.
Salesforce Sales Cloud is a CRM platform that helps sales teams manage their sales processes, track customer interactions, and close deals faster. By using AI, it streamlines and optimizes sales efforts, enhancing productivity and driving revenue growth.

Salesforce Sales Cloud compared to NetSuite
Salesforce Sales Cloud has more positive reviews than NetSuite: 89 vs 81
Salesforce Sales Cloud is better at support than NetSuite: 4.0 vs 3.5
Salesforce Sales Cloud is more suitable for small businesses thanks to its good value for money than NetSuite: 4.0 vs 3.7
NetSuite is more versatile than Salesforce Sales Cloud: 315 vs 206
Why is Salesforce Sales Cloud a good alternative to NetSuite?
I find NetSuite to be a strong alternative to Salesforce Sales Cloud primarily due to its comprehensive suite of services. Unlike Salesforce, which is mainly focused on CRM, NetSuite offers a complete business management solution including ERP, e-commerce, and inventory management alongside robust CRM capabilities. This makes it an excellent choice for businesses looking for a fully integrated system.
NetSuite's user interface is also intuitive and easy to navigate, which can reduce the learning curve for new users. It also offers strong customization options, allowing businesses to tailor the software to their specific needs. Moreover, NetSuite’s pricing structure is more predictable and transparent compared to Salesforce's complex and often hidden costs.
Finally, NetSuite's customer service has been praised for being more responsive and helpful compared to Salesforce, providing another incentive for businesses considering the switch.
What are the differences between Salesforce Sales Cloud and NetSuite?
I have observed that NetSuite and Salesforce Sales Cloud, while both being powerful CRM tools, serve different business needs. NetSuite is an all-inclusive business suite that integrates ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and professional services automation. It's ideal for businesses looking for a comprehensive system to manage all aspects of their operations. For its part, Salesforce Sales Cloud focuses primarily on sales and customer relationships. It provides robust features for sales management, marketing automation, customer service, and contact management.
Another significant difference lies in their customization capabilities. Salesforce offers extensive customization options with a user-friendly interface, whereas NetSuite requires more technical knowledge for customization. In terms of pricing, NetSuite often comes out as more expensive due to its comprehensive offerings. However, it can provide better value for businesses seeking an all-in-one solution.

Oracle NetSuite compared to NetSuite
Oracle NetSuite has more positive reviews than NetSuite: 82 vs 81
Oracle NetSuite is better at support than NetSuite: 3.7 vs 3.5
NetSuite is easier to use than Oracle NetSuite: 4.0 vs 3.8
Oracle NetSuite is more suitable for small businesses thanks to its good value for money than NetSuite: 3.8 vs 3.7
Oracle NetSuite has more options than NetSuite: 332 vs 315
Why is Oracle NetSuite a good alternative to NetSuite?
I believe NetSuite is a good alternative to Oracle-NetSuite because it offers a comprehensive and fully integrated suite of business applications, including ERP, CRM, and e-commerce. Unlike Oracle-NetSuite, which can be complex and expensive to implement, NetSuite is designed for small to medium-sized businesses and is more affordable and easier to use. It also offers real-time visibility into business performance and financials, which can help businesses make more informed decisions. Furthermore, NetSuite is cloud-based, which means it can be accessed from anywhere at any time. This flexibility can be particularly beneficial for businesses with remote teams or those that operate in multiple locations. Overall, I think NetSuite's affordability, ease of use, and flexibility make it a strong alternative to Oracle-NetSuite.
What are the differences between Oracle NetSuite and NetSuite?
I understand that the terms NetSuite and Oracle-NetSuite can be confusing. Originally, NetSuite was a standalone company that offered cloud-based software services designed to manage all aspects of a business. These services included Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and e-commerce.
In 2016, Oracle, a multinational computer technology corporation, acquired NetSuite. Since then, the product has been referred to as Oracle-NetSuite. While the core product remains the same, the acquisition has allowed for greater integration with Oracle's other software offerings and increased global reach. So essentially, there is no difference between NetSuite and Oracle-NetSuite; they are the same product from the same company, just under a new name after the acquisition.

I wish I had received proper advice,...
It is quite disastrous in many aspects, at least for distribution companies and especially with food products. The cost of customization is enormous. The B2B side is deeply dysfunctional. The accounting is very basic, far from being a good accounting program. The marketing tools are very limited. Creating order forms, delivery notes and invoices adapted to the corporate image is so expensive that you don’t pay with money anymore, but with unicorn blood,... In short, it’s an ERP packed with good intentions, but it struggles to make them a reality for many businesses, especially medium-sized ones that are neither small enough to use Odoo as installed, nor large enough to have a developer on their team. I don’t know what future it has globally, but what I do know is that in my two companies it has no future,... once it is depreciated, it’s out of my house!

Why is Dynamics 365 a good alternative to NetSuite?
I find Dynamics 365 a compelling alternative to NetSuite because of its comprehensive integration with other Microsoft products. This allows for seamless data flow between different systems, enhancing efficiency and productivity. Additionally, Dynamics 365 offers robust functionality across sales, customer service, field service, operations, and finance. It also provides superior AI capabilities that enable predictive insights, proactive business decisions, and automated processes. Furthermore, the flexibility of Dynamics 365 is commendable; it can be customized to suit unique business needs and can be scaled up or down based on the organization's size and requirements. Finally, it offers an intuitive user interface that promotes ease of use and quick adoption among users.

I compared the 2 services and noticed that Microsoft Dynamics 365 and NetSuite are two powerful enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, but they differ in various ways. Dynamics 365 offers a wide range of applications for different business functions like sales, customer service, finance, operations, and marketing. It is known for its seamless integration with other Microsoft products such as Office 365 and Power BI. On the other hand, NetSuite is a single integrated suite that covers ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and professional services automation (PSA). It is cloud-native and known for its real-time visibility across the business.
Moreover, Dynamics 365 provides more flexibility in deployment options as it can be hosted on-premises or on the cloud while NetSuite is purely cloud-based. In terms of pricing, NetSuite's model is subscription-based while Dynamics 365 offers both subscription and perpetual licensing.

Why is Jedox a good alternative to NetSuite?
As a user, I find Jedox a compelling alternative to NetSuite primarily due to its advanced budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities. Unlike NetSuite, Jedox provides an integrated platform that combines planning, analysis and reporting. This means that I can streamline my financial processes and improve my data accuracy.
Furthermore, Jedox has a user-friendly interface that allows non-technical users to easily navigate and utilize its features. It also offers flexibility with its cloud-based, on-premise and mobile access options. The ability to integrate with various data sources is another benefit of using Jedox.
Lastly, I appreciate the cost-effectiveness of Jedox. While NetSuite is expensive for small to medium-sized businesses, Jedox offers different pricing tiers that can fit various budget ranges. Overall, these features make Jedox an excellent alternative to NetSuite.
What are the differences between Jedox and NetSuite?
I have been exploring different business management software and two that stand out are Jedox and NetSuite. Jedox is primarily a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software. It integrates business intelligence and performance management to provide budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions. Its main focus is on data-driven processes within the organization, from financial consolidation to predictive analytics.
On the other hand, NetSuite is a comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. It provides a wide range of features including accounting, CRM, eCommerce, inventory and warehouse management among others. It is designed to manage all aspects of a business, from finance to customer relationships. While both are cloud-based solutions, NetSuite is more comprehensive in scope than Jedox. However, Jedox might be more suitable for organizations needing specialized CPM solutions.
