01 Is Weebly any Good? My expert Review
I have developed websites for some small businesses and personal projects, and I have used Weebly as my website developing platform for some time. Based on my experience with e-commerce, I recommend Weebly for somebody just getting started with website development who needs an easy to use platform. I helped a friend transition her handmade jewelry business from Etsy, and she was able to transition extremely easily from the Etsy platform to Weebly. She opened her store with Weebly and integrated Square payments with her products in no time, and she was selling her jewelry again quickly.
Weebly also has some reasonably nice themes. I found a clean, elegant layout that showcased my photographer client's portfolio well. However, in the customization area, you feel somewhat limited to just to the basics. Nonetheless, Weebly is inexpensive with quite affordable pricing plans and no hidden fees—perfect for small businesses or individuals who just want to start building a website. The biggest drawback is that customer support can take too long to respond. It is frustrating to wait several days for a response, when you are resolving specific things or are close for time.
Overall, while some limitations exist with customer support time and customization, Weebly is a decent platform to use or manage if you are looking for a practical and easy way to get an attractive website or e-commerce store online, and at a reasonable price.

Weebly: A Satisfactory Yet Underwhelming Website Builder
My overall experience with Weebly has been satisfactory, but slightly disappointing. Compared to other website builders like Squarespace, it seems less modern and stylish. I'm uncertain if I'll continue using Weebly or switch to another platform soon. I managed to create my website as desired, selecting a template and replacing everything with my own photos and videos. However, the website felt clunky and occasionally unresponsive. There were instances when the preview didn't accurately reflect the actual website, and it would sometimes freeze. I would have to exit and re-enter, hoping my changes were saved. Sometimes they were, sometimes they weren't. I initially chose Weebly because my wife already had a website with them.

It offers a variety of themes to start with and allows you to build from there. It's easy to embed various links like payment buttons and images, and you can customize colors, add text, titles, and themes. Anyone with a creative eye should be able to navigate this site with ease. However, I'm annoyed by the "powered by Weebly" watermark that appears on every page, which makes it obvious that the site is hosted by Weebly. Also, the limited number of starting themes means it's up to you to make your site unique. I chose Weebly because it was cost-effective and I initially just wanted to give it a try, but I ended up being pleased with how my website turned out.
