General information about Openshift
OpenShift is a cloud-based, open-source Platform as a Service (PaaS) developed by Red Hat. It allows developers to create, test, and run their applications and deploy them in the cloud.
OpenShift supports a wide range of programming languages, including Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, Node.js, and .NET. It also supports various databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
OpenShift provides automated management so that developers can focus on writing code without worrying about underlying infrastructure. It offers features like scaling, load balancing, and health monitoring of applications.
OpenShift can be used for building stand-alone apps and microservices and is designed to work with continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines. It also provides a marketplace of add-on services.
With its containerization model based on Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, OpenShift is a robust solution for enterprise application development and deployment.

OpenShift, an open-source cloud platform, is a valuable tool for small businesses. It facilitates the development, testing, and deployment of applications, thus freeing developers from infrastructure constraints. For example, a start-up can use OpenShift to develop a mobile application using Java or Python, then test and deploy it without worrying about server management. Moreover, thanks to automatic scaling, the application can easily handle an increase in traffic during launch. Finally, OpenShift offers a marketplace of complementary services, allowing businesses to easily add features to their applications.Openshift features

Mastering Microservices with OpenShift: A Seamless Transition
OpenShift resolved our issue of transitioning from a monolithic structure to microservices. If you're questioning how to scale, monitor, manage deployment, or make your services resilient to failures, OpenShift is the solution. It simplifies the development process and offers solutions to known service deployment problems. We integrated our existing services smoothly and encountered no major issues while implementing or changing our deployment strategy for microservices. As a developer, I found there are many parts to understand, but this isn't a problem as all tools have a learning curve, and OpenShift is no exception. We selected OpenShift because it's supported by Redhat, a company whose products we already extensively use in our organization. Furthermore, compared to similar tools, OpenShift provides more and the same features. We switched to OpenShift because setting up Spring Cloud was labor-intensive, and we wanted to move away from that. OpenShift provides all the features we were using with Spring Cloud and more by default.

Prime Platform for Application Deployment
I've been using Redhat Openshift container for 1 1/2 years and find it simpler to deploy and manage applications than traditional app servers like Tomcat. However, its enterprise pricing is somewhat expensive compared to Amazon Web Services (AWS). I also struggle to engage with the Redhat support team for troubleshooting issues.
