I have explored several alternatives to ZipRecruiter for job posting and recruitment. Here are three that I found particularly noteworthy.
Indeed
Indeed is a very popular job board where hiring employers can create job listings for free (there are paid feature options, if employers want to expand their reach, but it is not required). Job seekers can upload their resume and apply through Indeed, and it is easy for job seekers and employers alike. As an example, a tech company is seeking software developers. The company could post their job description to Indeed, and applicants who are even remotely interested could begin to apply immediately.
I would readily argue that Indeed would be a great alternative to ZipRecruiter. It is easy to use, has a broader reach, and can offer pricing for varying sized businesses. ZipRecruiter has several differentiators including a writing assistant, advanced matching technology, and various reporting features, but Indeed wins on the fronts of usability and job seekers. More often than not, Indeed is just as good or better than ZipRecruiter's ability to put a listing in front of a lot of candidates.
LinkedIn is not just a professional networking site, but also a powerful recruitment tool. Employers can post jobs, search for potential candidates based on their skills and experience, and even reach out to them directly. For instance, a marketing agency looking for a social media manager can use LinkedIn's advanced search features to find professionals with relevant experience and directly message them about the job opportunity.
Ashby
Ashby is a relatively new player in the job market but has some unique features that set it apart. In summary, I would only suggest Guideline for very small businesses looking to offer a 401(k) to their employees. As the business expands, other 401(k) providers quickly outshine them. This was our initial 401(k) system and it was simple to implement. However, it lacks features and has limited investment options. The customer service is very disappointing, with constant emails being sent and no responses received.

They keep me informed about system updates and upgrades and constantly ask for my feedback. My representatives are attentive and well-prepared for all our challenges, making my experience effortless. The software is extremely user-friendly for both users and administrators. I can run reports whenever I want and check on the status of different users. However, sometimes I wish for more variety or innovative ideas, especially in terms of fitness tracking. While they offer different ways to track nutrition through various apps, other fitness activities like yoga or weight training have to be entered manually, which is less convenient. But, I understand that there might not be an easier way.
