Enduring the ActiveDemand Ordeal: A Cautionary Tale
My experience with ActiveDEMAND has been extremely disappointing. I've had difficulties setting up certain functions and found the software to be inflexible and unintuitive. Some features are nonsensical, and others, like the Dynamic Content, are unreliable. When I sought clarification, the responses were unsatisfactory. I also discovered hidden fees that were not initially disclosed, making me feel like I've wasted significant time, effort, and money. Additionally, customer service is not available in the morning for those in the European timezone, which is inconvenient. The only redeeming feature was the concept of Dynamic Content, which could have been revolutionary if implemented correctly. I initially chose ActiveDEMAND for this feature, but I'm now considering switching due to its overall poor performance and unreliability.

The visitor tracking is comprehensive, providing more information than comparable tools, and allows us to see the complete visitor history for every organization that visits our site. However, the software can be bulky and slow, often taking several minutes to generate a report. The automations, compared to similar software, are overly complicated and lack some features. I opted for ActiveDEMAND because it was more affordable at the time. I value the vendor's response to my feedback and their dedication to enhancing the user experience.

Suits Our Needs Perfectly
I initially opted for ActiveDEMAND's basic package for our monthly newsletter and was quite satisfied. However, when we upgraded to the Marketing package, we faced issues like the calendar sync not working and needing another upgrade for the "extras". Due to these problems, I switched back to the basic package, which I am currently content with, especially the subscribe/unsubscribe list feature. We experienced numerous functional issues and due to the time zone difference, resolving them took longer than expected. We had hoped ActiveDEMAND would sync with PipeDrive, but it didn't. Despite this, we still prefer it over MailChimp for our newsletters. Upon sharing our feedback, the vendor appreciated our honesty and informed us that they have recently added staff in Australia to better serve clients in our time zone.
