My top 3 CallHippo alternatives
By Edouard Rosenblum, Co-founder @Secret
I have explored several alternatives to CallHippo, a popular virtual phone system. Here are three that I find particularly noteworthy: RingCentral MVP, Aircall, and OpenPhone.
Aircall
Aircall is another great alternative to CallHippo. It's a cloud-based phone system designed for customer support and sales teams. Aircall integrates with various CRM and Helpdesk tools, which can help streamline workflows. For example, a customer service team can use Aircall to quickly access customer information during calls, improving efficiency and the overall customer experience.
Quo (ex. OpenPhone)
OpenPhone is a simple yet powerful virtual phone system that's perfect for small businesses and startups. It offers features like auto-attendant, voicemail transcription, and business hours setting. A startup could use OpenPhone to set up their business phone system quickly without needing any technical expertise or expensive hardware.
RingCentral MVP
RingCentral MVP is an all-in-one communication platform that goes beyond just a virtual phone system. It includes video conferencing, team messaging, and even faxing capabilities, all under one roof. This makes it a nice fit for businesses looking for a streamlined solution that covers multiple communication needs. For example, companies with remote teams can use RingCentral MVP to stay connected and collaborate smoothly.
If you're considering alternatives to CallHippo, RingCentral MVP stands out as a reliable and feature-rich option. Its versatility and ease of use make it especially appealing for businesses aiming to simplify their communication tools into one unified system.

Account Visibility with Notes, Tags, Timeline
Our customer success team adopted Aircall mainly for visibility, and it delivered on that. The activity timeline, notes, and tags make it much easier to understand what happened on an account before jumping into a call. We had a first month included through Joinsecret, which helped while we were comparing tools, and I’m glad we kept it because the day-to-day workflow is genuinely smoother

Why is Aircall a good alternative to CallHippo?
I find CallHippo a great alternative to Aircall due to its robust features and cost-effectiveness. CallHippo offers an intuitive interface that simplifies the process of setting up and managing a virtual call center. It provides a wide range of functionalities including call recording, call transfer, voicemail, and analytics that help in streamlining business communication. Moreover, unlike Aircall, CallHippo supports integration with a wider range of third-party applications such as Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, and Zendesk for enhanced productivity.
Another significant advantage is its pricing. CallHippo's plans are quite affordable compared to Aircall, making it an excellent choice for startups and small businesses on a tight budget. In addition, it offers 24/7 customer support ensuring issues are resolved promptly. Therefore, considering the features offered and the price point, I believe CallHippo is a compelling alternative to Aircall.

Why is Quo (ex. OpenPhone) a good alternative to CallHippo?
I find CallHippo a great alternative to OpenPhone due to its extensive features and affordability. CallHippo offers a wide range of business phone system features including call forwarding, call recording, voicemail, and IVR (Interactive Voice Response). It also provides excellent customer support that is always ready to assist with any issue. Additionally, CallHippo offers seamless integration with popular CRM systems which makes it easier to manage customer interactions.
When it comes to pricing, CallHippo is very competitive. It offers a free version for small teams and startups, and its paid plans provide excellent value for money given the extensive features they include. Furthermore, CallHippo's user-friendly interface makes it easy to set up and use, reducing the time needed for training and implementation. Therefore, for businesses looking for a comprehensive yet affordable business phone system, CallHippo stands out as an excellent choice.
What are the differences between Quo (ex. OpenPhone) and CallHippo?
I have found several differences between CallHippo and OpenPhone. Firstly, CallHippo is more focused on providing services for larger businesses and enterprises, while OpenPhone primarily targets small businesses and startups. Secondly, CallHippo offers a wider range of features such as call transfer, call queuing, and conference calling. In contrast, OpenPhone has a simpler interface with fewer features but includes unlimited calls and texts within the US and Canada in its basic plan.
Another key difference lies in their pricing structure. CallHippo has a more complex pricing model with different tiers based on the number of features, whereas OpenPhone offers a flat rate per user. Lastly, in terms of customer support, CallHippo provides 24/7 live rep support while OpenPhone only offers online support during business hours.

Checkout-Page Chat + Strong Mobile App
LiveChat has been a good fit for our ecommerce store because it connects cleanly with our CRM and lets us tag conversations by issue type. That has made weekly reviews much more useful since we can spot recurring complaints fast. We also came across a Joinsecret perk that gave us about $150 in platform credit on the higher tiers, which was a nice extra but not the reason we stayed

Why is LiveChat a good alternative to CallHippo?
I believe CallHippo is a great alternative to LiveChat because it offers a wide range of features that enhance customer service and communication. Unlike LiveChat, CallHippo provides a virtual phone system, allowing businesses to make and receive calls from anywhere in the world. This is particularly beneficial for companies with remote teams or international clients.
CallHippo also offers call recording, call forwarding, and voicemail features, which are not available in LiveChat. These features can significantly improve the efficiency of communication and ensure that no important information is missed. Additionally, CallHippo has a user-friendly interface and provides excellent customer support, making it easy for businesses to implement and use.
Overall, CallHippo offers more comprehensive communication solutions than LiveChat, making it a better choice for businesses looking to improve their customer service and communication processes.
What are the differences between LiveChat and CallHippo?
I have found that CallHippo and LiveChat are two different types of communication tools used for business purposes. CallHippo is a virtual phone system designed for business telephony needs. It allows businesses to buy instant local support numbers from over 50 countries around the world. With this system, businesses can make and receive calls from any part of the world at any time.
On the other hand, LiveChat is a live chat software used by businesses to interact with their customers in real-time on their website. It's a quick and efficient way to provide immediate customer support and online sales assistance. It also offers features like visitor tracking, analytics, and integrations with other customer service platforms.
In essence, while CallHippo focuses on voice communication, LiveChat emphasizes text-based real-time communication.

Exploring the Unique Features and Benefits of 3CX's Hosted Cloud Subscriptions
I wholeheartedly recommend 3CX's hosted cloud subscriptions! The basic features are just the tip of the iceberg. The 3CX app, as seen in other ratings on the Google Play Store, has a unique feature that encourages you to speak with confidence and enthusiasm, even when set at 175%. My team and I are always aware of our connectivity status thanks to the 'connectivity' banner displayed in the app, keeping us on our toes. We experience exciting interruptions that keep our workday dynamic. Callers often report a unique phone quality that sets us apart. This feature persists even outside of our company network, with 4G or 5G mobile connections and high-speed internet. We've tested it on different smartphones and everyone reports a distinctive performance across all networks. We're using 3CX Startup Pro, and it's thrilling to see that they offer us the opportunity to upgrade to a higher subscription for an even better performance. We're eagerly planning to explore different services within the 3CX suite!

Great Onboarding; Less Impressive Sales Tactics.
The onboarding process for Nextiva was straightforward, with a representative guiding me through all the features. However, I found the sales process misleading. I was told I needed multiple add-ons to sign up, which were free for the first 3 months. Now, I'm struggling to cancel these add-ons, worth over $2/month, before I get charged and I'm having trouble getting in touch with anyone for assistance.

We picked Vonage because we needed messaging, voice, and verification in one place instead of stitching together several vendors. That part has worked well, especially for transactional SMS. We also got around $2,500 in API credits via Joinsecret, which helped us validate the setup before it became a budget line item

Exceptional Assistance with Truelark
I find Truelark to be effective and easy to use. I appreciate its thoroughness in handling missed client calls and automatically sending them a message. I enjoy the customization options for handling and booking my appointments. However, I dislike that my personal contacts receive automated messages when they call. I wish the system could recognize certain numbers to prevent this. I also wish I could transfer my Google Voice phone number over. The vendor responded to my review, informing me that it is possible to prevent certain numbers from receiving automated messages and that they do integrate with Google Voice. They advised me to contact Customer Success for assistance.

Establishing Support Excellence
As a novice in using VOIP, I initially found it difficult to comprehend the technical terms. I decided to use AceFone's VOIP service for my home setup when I transitioned from my copper landline to full fibre. I was concerned about losing my landline number during this process. To connect the DECT phones in my house with the AceFone VOIP service, I bought a Gigaset N300ip unit. I required additional information from AceFone to input into this base unit. The AceFone representative spent 90 minutes assisting me with the setup. He was persistent and I never felt any pressure that the issue couldn't be resolved. He remotely controlled my computer via ZOHO and managed the settings in the base unit interface. Even after successfully setting up the connection and equipment, it wouldn't have been easy without his help. I'm extremely grateful for such a determined support agent. I chose Acefone due to its competitive pricing and positive reviews, and I appreciate the simple interface and supporting documentation jargon.
