Google Meet
vs
Zoom Meetings
Both Zoom and Google Meet are strong video conferencing apps, and we’re happy to recommend them. The main difference is in target audience: Google Meet is better for smaller organizations, and impromptu meetings. Zoom is better for professional conferencing needs, advanced features, and added security.
Where does this difference come from? Mainly, it’s the feature set. Google Meet is lighter in features, sacrificing complexity in favor of an easy set-up. Zoom, on the other hand, has much more settings for organizing a meeting or participating in calls. It also has more controls for video hosts, giving users a chance to customize their experience to a large organization’s needs.
For example, screensharing is more advanced in Zoom. On the paid plans, you can set-up second cameras for professional presentations, easily connect apps to help with a complex webinar, and get more control over what’s displayed.
Implicitly, this also makes Google Meet much easier to use. You’re usually ready...

Zoom Meetings
Communication and collaboration platform
Who is Google Meet best for according to our reviewers?
Business Consultants: Google Meet is a reliable tool for business consulting firms, providing an intuitive interface and mobile access for conducting online meetings and conferences from any location. It also offers features useful during presentations and training new employees
Remote Workers: Google Meet simplifies communication in a remote work setting, offering high-quality audio and video for trainings, meetings, and large presentations. It also provides efficient meeting management tools, including changing times and dates and setting permissions
Educators: Google Meet is a useful tool for educators, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when face-to-face meetings were not possible. It enables students to work together on projects outside of school hours and discuss homework. However, it can be distracting in a virtual teaching setting as students often use it to chat among themselves during class
Small and Medium-sized Businesses: Google Meet is a must-have for small and medium-sized businesses. Even the free version outperforms other video conferencing apps, making it a preferred choice for online classes. However, it can be slightly glitchy on the phone
Global Collaborators: Google Meet allows users to collaborate with people worldwide due to its easy integration with Google accounts, simplifying meeting setup. The screen sharing feature enhances productivity, but it lacks some features such as the ability to take notes during presentations and the option to record meetings.

Everything's Good, but with a Slight Issue
I attend my class through Google Meet. Sometimes, it buffers when I try to join my class.

Exploring My Digital Conference Space: Google Meet
Google Meet has allowed me to collaborate with people worldwide due to its easy integration, simplifying meeting setup. The screen sharing feature has greatly enhanced the productivity of my meetings. I can create a virtual meeting from my email or calendar due to its integration with my Google account. However, it lacks some features such as the ability to take notes during presentations and the option to record meetings. I chose Google Meet because it integrates with my Google account and switched to it as fewer people use Hotmail, with Gmail being more common.

Great Concept on Paper
I appreciate the simplicity of starting a new video chat with just a click in Google Meet. It's ideal for client conversations as no installations are required. However, the frequent connectivity and audio issues make it practically unusable.
