Zoom Meetings

Zoom and Webex are very similar. They’re at the same price point, around $14-15 for their cheapest subscription, and they offer very similar deals. Even the free plans have the same limits, 40 minutes for a meeting with maximum 100 attendees.

Both platforms also have nearly identical text messaging features, screen sharing options, and customization settings for meetings.

So for most businesses, you can’t really go wrong with either option. Webex and Zoom are reliable video conferencing apps that do their job well.

However, in our testing and research we found that Zoom is slightly better. For starters, it has over 1,000 more integrations than Webex, which makes it much easier to add Zoom to an existing toolset, or get more out of it with third-party apps.

Moreover, live streaming is available on more platforms on Zoom, and you can do it on the cheapest plan. In Webex, you can only do it with their most expensive plan. If streaming to Facebook or YouTube is important...

The software is user-friendly and easy to set up, making hosting meetings easier. It also adjusts automatically for time zone changes, which is beneficial for those who frequently host or join meetings with people across the country

  • Educators: WebEx is used by teachers for delivering lessons remotely. It's easy to set up and the host can send an invitation to all students who then click on the link and download the app. It's also reliable, but a fast internet connection is required to prevent freezing

  • Remote Teams: WebEx is ideal for secure and unified cloud communication, offering numerous features that facilitate effective communication with both in-person and remote teams. It has the capacity to host interactive online meetings with strong screen sharing, real-time live chat, HD video quality, and instant messaging support

  • Webinar Hosts: WebEx Training Center is stable for enterprise webinars, even with thousands of users. However, the admin part can be clunky and setting different options can be complicated

  • Dissatisfied Customers: Some users have experienced ongoing issues with audio during client calls and have found the customer service to be unhelpful. Others have had problems with the software's performance on mobile devices, and some have found the cancellation process to be difficult.

My Webex Experience: A Reliable and Cost-Effective Conferencing Solution

I've been using Webex for about 7 months now and it's been quite a journey! Initially, I had some hiccups with the audio during client calls. But, I reached out to their technical support and they were very responsive. They assured me everything was fine and indeed, with a little patience, the issues were resolved. I was considering switching to a more expensive alternative, but I'm glad I stuck with Webex. Their reliability has improved significantly over time. I even had a conversation with a representative named Victoria who was very understanding and helpful. She clarified some contract details for me, which I appreciated. Webex's customer service really shines through in their dedication to resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. I'm giving it a solid five stars because it's been a great value for the money. I would definitely recommend Webex to anyone looking for a reliable and cost-effective conferencing solution. Remember, patience is key!

Embracing Change and Innovation with Webex: A User's Perspective

I'm genuinely excited about Webex, a company that I believe is committed to providing top-notch services. My school uses Webex as our primary tool for recording our meetings and hosting them on our website. Recently, they introduced a new retention policy which led to the deletion of over 3 of our recordings. However, I see this as an opportunity to upgrade to their new Pro-Plan. Although it's a bit pricey, it offers us the ability to keep our recordings, which is fantastic! Webex has also made some changes to the admin portal this year, simplifying it for a more streamlined user experience. While it's true that the admin account doesn't have access to every recording, I find it quite engaging to manually re-assign meetings to myself. It gives me a sense of control and involvement in the process. Webex is constantly evolving and improving, and I'm thrilled to be part of this journey. It's always exciting to explore what new features and improvements they'll introduce next!
