The support for HotelKey is accessible, but they can't always help with specific issues like tax exemptions. If they can't assist, they escalate the problem which can take a few days to get a response. I find the software quite user-friendly, especially if you're familiar with tasks like making and locating reservations. It saves everything instantly, so any errors are immediately noticeable. However, they don't provide explanations for updates. The software also has its limitations, for instance, it doesn't permit modifications for group bookings like date or rate changes. Once a guest has checked out, I can't remove or add taxes or include additional information to the reservation, such as an email address.

Simplifying Life with Hotelkey
The primary business issue I'm addressing with Hotelkey is maintaining consistency in avoiding invalid credit cards. Hotelkey has a system that pre-checks the card for me and marks it as invalid if necessary. I don't even have to revisit the extranet to see if the card was updated or needs to be canceled, Hotelkey takes care of that. I appreciate the product's ease of use, it's smooth and efficient. I also like that it's cloud-based, so I don't have to worry about hardware crashes or data loss. The manager's app on my smartphone is great because I can access all the information I need. Closing rooms and updating rates are just a few taps away on my phone. My favorite feature is the 24/7 support hotline. Initially, I was skeptical because we had trouble setting up the basics for the app. We had a preferred way of processing our check-ins and check-outs from our old PMS that we wanted to continue using. However, they made some changes.
