As someone who has integrated Microsoft 365 into dozens of projects with multiple teams across organizations, I can confidently say that it has changed the way we work. One of the primary benefits of the 365 suite of applications is the ease of collaboration. For example, my team and I have been able to work on complex reports simultaneously in Word or Excel without worrying about multiple versions. Additionally, the combination of apps has not only helped collaborate, but with the many integration options, it has saved time. Just recently, we did an entire project by having Teams meetings and accessing files within the OneDrive. We were able to avoid the need to toggle back and forth between different apps.
While I do appreciate using Microsoft 365, it has not all been a cakewalk! I have experienced some issues with SharePoint not being reliable, or having delays with syncing OneDrive, which is a bummer, especially when deadlines are on the horizon. Additionally, there are some advanced features that I find challenging to get colleagues (who aren't as tech savvy) to grasp.
Overall, though, I think Microsoft 365 provides a wealth of features. Additionally, because of the cloud-based tools, I can access all of our necessary documents wherever I am located—including while working from home, while traveling, or while working in-office! I think these features are really valuable, and in a world that accepts flexible work, Microsoft 365 is a great tool to support it. Microsoft 365 has my full endorsement, and I would recommend it to any organization, big or small; the benefits far outweigh the occasional bumps in the road!

Microsoft 365 offers desktop apps that you can download on a lot of devices. These desktop apps are more powerful than their Google Workspace counterparts. You can crunch more numbers in Excel, add more multimedia content in Word, and use a wider range of transitions for Powerpoint presentations.
You can’t get this advanced functionality from anything in Google Workspace, and this is the biggest difference between the two platforms. If you need Microsoft’s advanced file editing features, that’s the best choice for your company.
But Google’s apps aren’t cheap copies of their Microsoft counterparts. Docs, Slides and Spreadsheets have most of the features that an average user will need, so they’re a decent choice too.
