Unreliable Service: Proceed with Caution
I must warn anyone who depends on their mail being sent to think twice before using Sparkpost. I used Sparkpost for over two years and a few months ago, they implemented an automated abuse detection system that flagged my account. I only use Sparkpost to send transactional mail to my customers and I don't send unsolicited marketing emails. However, when my account was suspended, I couldn't get in touch with anyone to resolve the issue for hours. After finally making contact, my account was reactivated and I received a generic "Sorry" email. Despite not having the resources to switch my mail provider, my account was suspended again after 6 weeks. I had a hard time reaching someone for hours, and when I finally did, I was told that another department was responsible for account suspensions. I find this service absolutely terrible and I wouldn't recommend it as a crucial part of your architecture. The reliability of the service is questionable as I was suspended not once, but twice, and had a hard time reaching the right customer support person. This affected my entire business.

Exceptional Service Experience with Sparkpost & MessageBird During Account Transition
I am absolutely thrilled with Sparkpost & MessageBird due to their diligent handling of account transitions. They seem to truly understand the impact on their customers and the quality of their service. They temporarily paused our service to ensure a smooth transition from Sparkpost to MessageBird, which was communicated through over 25 emails and 15 tickets we opened. They were seeking updated payment information, which is a testament to their commitment to security. They responded within a reasonable timeframe of 6 months, considering the complexity of the transition, and even though there was a minor hiccup with the information, they quickly rectified it. This allowed us to resume our payments and get back to using their service. This is the best service I have ever received.
