      Functional yet Vendor-Unfriendly: A Review on CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Software

      The CS-Cart Multi Vendor Software is a highly functional marketplace, but it's also very outdated and not intuitive at all. I constantly needed assistance from an experienced developer to set up my website, which significantly increased my costs. I'm now concerned that my vendors will struggle to use this platform. I feel embarrassed to present them with the vendor panel they have to use to list their products, as it looks like it's 2 years old. I fear this will make it difficult to attract and retain vendors, which is a major issue because without them, there's no marketplace. If CS-Cart focuses on creating a more intuitive admin experience, this platform could be very effective. However, if they don't make these changes soon, I may regret my decision to purchase their platform.

      Two Years In: My Experience with CS-Cart MV Software

      I've been using CS-Cart MV for three years and have had a great experience. Even though I don't have many vendors, the software works well for our few product lines. Our vendors appreciate the admin approval feature for products and the software's speed and impressive product options. I can also process orders on behalf of vendors from the admin panel. Despite not having the latest update, my version works without any bugs. I've tried many platforms, but CS-Cart MV is the easiest to use. I also appreciate the affordable 3rd party add-ons and themes, the import/export tool, and its responsiveness on any platform. The only issue I've encountered was a bug when adding products with variable options, which required some manual work. But overall, I'm very satisfied with the software.

      I've had the pleasure of working with CS Cart Multi Vendor Software for a few months now, and it's been an enlightening journey. The server installation manuals, while they may seem a bit complex for non-IT individuals, are a great opportunity to learn and grow. They may seem a bit outdated, but they've given us a chance to interact more with the CS Cart team, who have been more than willing to assist us in installing the program on our server. The process took us three weeks, but it was a valuable learning experience. The CS Cart team was thorough, ensuring that everything was working perfectly before they finished. We've had the chance to communicate with them regularly, pointing out any areas that needed improvement. We've occasionally encountered a 54 Gateway error when working with the back-end, but it's been a great opportunity to troubleshoot and learn more about the system. The packages offered by CS Cart are diverse and cater to different needs. For instance, the lifetime upgrade with a unique theme is a fantastic deal. It comes with six months of upgrades for the theme, after which you have the option to pay for further upgrades or use the opportunity to troubleshoot any bugs that may arise when your platform gets updates and your theme doesn't. The platform is designed in a way that encourages customization. Any external themes will need some adjustment after an upgrade, but it's a great chance to make the platform truly your own. The app offered in premium packs covers the basic infrastructure, and any add-ons are available for an additional payment. This allows for a customizable experience, where you only pay for what you need. Lastly, they take data security seriously. They regularly update login data to ensure the highest level of security. Overall, my team and I have found working with CS Cart to be a rewarding and educational experience.

      Terrible Support Experience

      I am extremely unhappy with the support I've received from CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Software. I changed my template in early November for the Christmas season and asked for a rebuild of the mobile app, which stopped working after the template change. Two months later, the IOS version is still not ready, a major problem since most of my customers use iPhones. This has greatly affected my Christmas sales. I've spent about $7000 on this software, and the support I've received doesn't justify the cost. The support system is costly and inefficient, requiring the purchase of points. If I don't use all my points, I lose my money, and if I don't have enough points, I have to buy more than I need. When I complained, the vendor apologized and promised to investigate why the mobile app wasn't ready on time. They also mentioned improvements to their support service in 2020, including a customer care subscription.
