I joined Sendlane, excited by the promise of unlimited sending and single opt-in. Initially, I was taken aback by the notifications about certain criteria I had to meet to have full control over the sending. However, I soon realized that these were in place to ensure the best possible email marketing practices. This made me appreciate Sendlane's commitment to maintaining high standards. The onboarding process was a unique experience, unlike any other I've encountered. It was a learning curve that I found to be quite enriching. I also had a minor billing issue, but after lodging a complaint with the BBB, Sendlane was quick to address it and refund me $3. Their customer service was commendable!

Overall, my experience with Sendlane has been excellent. I've faced a few bugs and had some challenges understanding the platform, but generally, Sendlane is more refined than many other companies that have been around for years. Their customer service is top-notch, often staying on the phone with me for hours until my issue is resolved. They follow up, ask detailed questions, and are always looking to improve. Sendlane has always made me feel welcomed and valued, not just as a customer but as a partner in growing my business. Their interface could use some improvements as it can be a bit confusing, but it has all the functions I need to run and automate my business, which has helped me boost my income. My favorite feature is the automation of my marketing message, follow-up, and feedback with customers. Their platform allows me to manage my customers and even generate additional income through follow-ups and offering new products.

Long-Term User Experience with Sendlane
Every issue I've faced has been quickly solved by their outstanding support team. Setting it up and creating email templates was pretty simple. What I value most is the customer service. I also appreciate that they openly accept affiliate marketers without fear of penalties. There are a few features related to adding graphics to emails that are somewhat challenging to use. However, there's always a workaround, even though it's not my preferred method. I chose Sendlane for its affordability and user-friendliness. I switched to Sendlane after Active Campaign shut me down during a significant promotion, causing me to lose thousands of dollars. Despite their apology and offer to "work it out," I declined. I appreciate the vendor's response and their ongoing efforts to enhance their product's usability.

Sendlane: A Costly Misadventure
As a marketing manager for a D2C eComm company, my experience with Sendlane was a disaster. They promised to provide the same features and credits for SMS and email marketing at 40% less than what we were paying. However, after signing the contract, I found out that their cost per message was actually higher for SMS and their platform lacked key features that our current platforms, Klaviyo and Postscript, offer. This included basic things like template and campaign duplication, as well as important behavioral and automation customizations. When it became clear that Sendlane couldn't meet our needs, they refused to address my concerns and wouldn't refund us for our thousands of unused credits. They even suggested that we should be grateful they weren't enforcing the entire annual contract. If they had, we would have taken them to court. Sendlane was a huge disappointment. They oversold, underdelivered, and wasted our small business's time and money. I would strongly advise against using their services.
