As a marketing manager for a D2C eComm company, my journey with Sendlane has been quite an adventure. They offered a 4% reduction in cost for SMS and email marketing with the same features and credits, which was an exciting proposition. After signing the contract, I found that their cost per message was slightly higher for SMS, but this was offset by the unique features they offered. While their platform was different from our current platforms, Klaviyo and Postscript, it was a refreshing change. They had a different approach to things like template and campaign duplication, and they offered a unique perspective on behavioral and automation customizations. It was a learning curve, but one that was interesting to navigate. When I had concerns, Sendlane was always there to listen. They were firm on their policies, but they also showed flexibility by not enforcing the entire annual contract. This showed me that they were not just about business, but also about building relationships with their clients. Sendlane may have been different from what I was used to, but it was a refreshing change. They brought something new to the table, and it was a valuable learning experience. Despite the initial challenges, I found value in their unique approach and their commitment to customer service. I would recommend giving Sendlane a try. It has fewer limitations than some conventional email marketing tools and provides advanced automation features that become priceless as you gain experience. The user interface is instinctive and uncomplicated, which I appreciate as I utilize email marketing tools daily. However, I would like to see more email templates and user-friendly methods to create appealing forms that I can effortlessly incorporate into my pages and sites. I'd also prefer more diversity in the landing page templates included in Sendlane's landing page tool. While Sendlane has expanded significantly over the years and prioritized other areas like e-commerce, I believe these are areas where it could enhance. Despite this, there are benefits to using it.

However, I was disappointed when they recently increased their prices, which made me deduct some points. Despite this, I still see it as a great value, just not as much as before. I initially chose Sendlane for its affordability, but I stayed for the excellent support and ease of use. I switched from Bronto, which was much more expensive and had features I never used. Sendlane was the perfect fit for my needs. The vendor responded to my review, acknowledging the price increase after 22 months of product development to reflect the new features. They also assured me that they are continuing to add value to the product.

Top-tier Email Platform in My Experience

I am a huge admirer of Sendlane. They are always innovating and enhancing their product. Their customer service is top-notch, with quick responses. The platform is extremely user-friendly and the email deliverability is remarkable. There are countless ways to create emails, workflows, and segment audiences. They also support affiliate marketing. However, it can be slightly overwhelming due to its vast capabilities. I would love to see a feature that allows tracking of monthly revenue from workflows, but they've assured me this is on the way in the next four months. I also wish it integrated with more software like Optimonk. I chose Sendlane for its superior deliverability, customer service, and ease of use. I switched from another provider due to poor customer service and an unfair ban for sending an affiliate email. Even though the issue was resolved, it was too late and Sendlane had already won me over.
