Persistent Job Alerts: My Experience with SmartRecruiters

I am absolutely thrilled with the software, SmartRecruiters! It's so proactive that it sends me job alerts regularly, even from places like Maidstone, London, and Devon. While I'm primarily focused on opportunities in the North West, it's exciting to see what's available in other areas too. The unsubscribe feature seems to be a bit too enthusiastic, just like me, and keeps me in the loop even when I've tried to opt out a few times in October. I must say, SmartRecruiters is quite persistent in making sure I don't miss out on any potential opportunities. I'm really looking forward to seeing more from them and hope they keep the emails coming!

Outstanding Value with SmartRecruiters!

When I first discovered SmartRecruiters, I was employed at a small, family-owned company that lacked an application tracking system. This product significantly improved our processes, allowing us to easily post job vacancies, manage applications, and share these applications with other users. The setup was simple and enabled us to post once and distribute these postings to our selected job aggregators. The support team was incredibly friendly and provided us with training. As our business expanded, this software was able to keep pace. I strongly recommend trying it out. It assisted us in improving our KPI with time to fill. I don't have many complaints about the system. I genuinely enjoyed using this software.

Minimal Support and Unresolved Issues

I find SmartRecruiters easier to use compared to other ATS', and their customer support is quite responsive. However, they no longer support sponsored jobs on Indeed, which is a significant problem for me. This means resumes from those job ads don't land in the ATS, skewing the statistics and defeating the purpose of having an ATS. Neither SmartRecruiters nor Indeed seem interested in resolving this issue. Additionally, I can only save one job ad as a template, making the process lengthy if I post the same job in multiple languages. Customer support is only available via email and their pricing structure isn't as straightforward as discussed during our negotiation. I chose SmartRecruiters because it's bilingual and their price was competitive. I switched from iCIMS because it was advertised as a bilingual platform, but it wasn't.

Exploring SmartRecruiters: A User's Perspective on Job Searching and Customer Service

When I first discovered SmartRecruiters, I was genuinely excited about the potential of this portal. I eagerly applied for a couple of roles, and while I noticed that the older ones seemed to disappear, I saw this as an opportunity to focus on the most recent applications. The system's unique way of tracking applications certainly kept me on my toes!Reaching out to their support team was a bit of a challenge, but I saw it as a testament to their dedication to their sales efforts. Their support links led me to their community portal, which I initially couldn't access as an applicant. However, I realized that this was a special space for their client companies, which I found quite impressive.Despite this, I was determined to get in touch with them and managed to find a support email for applicants. I was thrilled when they responded promptly, acknowledging the issue I had raised. Their quick response time was a clear indication of their commitment to improving their services.The cherry on top was when I received a follow-up email ten days later, informing me that the bug was fixed. This showed me that SmartRecruiters values feedback and is proactive in resolving issues. It was a great experience to see a company take action based on my input. I'm looking forward to continuing my job search with them, knowing that they're always ready to improve and provide the best service possible!

Agency Viewpoint on SmartRecruiters

As a recruiter, I find that SmartRecruiters has somewhat streamlined my submissions process. However, as an external user, it doesn't offer much additional value to me. I do appreciate its single platform for managing client requirements, and the ability to directly submit resumes. However, my clients are not particularly fond of the software due to its somewhat outdated appearance. Besides ensuring resumes are correctly categorized, I don't find much other use for it. The resume parsing feature is mediocre, often misinterpreting the layout of the experience section, despite accurately capturing names.
