Exploring Tripleseat: A Deep Dive into its Features and Functionality
I appreciate being able to monitor all locations and quickly produce proposals for clients with Tripleseat. I find the template use and data transfer within the system very convenient. The customer service is excellent and I enjoy the 'live' edits feature. However, I can't change the titles of some items and the system seems more suited for full service rather than catering. I also can't save delivery locations with notes and have to export items to excel to generate reports. I miss having a 'product mix' report of menu items. I switched to Tripleseat because I needed a new system after transitioning from Full Service to Gourmet to Go. I wanted a fresh start and something faster.

Basic Platform, Requires Improvement
I find Tripleseat to be quite basic and easy to learn, but not very user-friendly. As an event organizer, it's inconvenient to have to remove a space from all other customer inquiries to put it on hold. Email attachments often don't appear for customers and they struggle to navigate the discussion trails. Creating specific and multiple invoices for certain amounts is also challenging. There are pre-authorization links everywhere that, according to our account manager, can't be removed, causing customers to have to use a link twice.

Tripleseat: Streamlining Restaurant Events
I find Tripleseat easy to use with no operational issues and good customer support. Setting up and managing events and groups is straightforward and intuitive, with many options available within the software. However, when Tripleseat acquired Gather, our previous event software, the price increased significantly. Despite this, Tripleseat's pricing is competitive with other software and I chose it because they migrated all our information and it was similar to Gather, making the transition easy. The reason for switching to Tripleseat was because they acquired Gather.
