My first-hand experience using ClickUp for so many projects has made me very aware of just how powerful and flexible this platform is. Having so many apps all in one place has simplified my workflow tremendously. Marketing campaigns became so much easier when we could access all the tasks, calendars, and even team chats in one place where everyone could collaborate and be informed.
One of my favorite features about ClickUp is how customizable it is. Using templates and/or widgets to build dashboards was a snap so I could create dashboards that matched up thoroughly with what my team needed. When we launched a product, this helped us to easily see what the priorities were, timelines, and team accountabilities. Although, to be fair, we would sometimes express how these features could be more specific and some small gaps were created in our workflow.
The time tracking and reporting functions of the tool were incredibly helpful when working with clients. Tracking exactly how long we spent on tasks increased our efficiency and made reporting more transparent and easier for the client. On the downside, getting team members who were not as comfortable using a tech-heavy platform a comfortable place within ClickUp was another concern. We needed to hold additional training sessions and provide support documentation for them to feel confident with the program.
Even with these concerns, I am still a huge supporter of ClickUp because it is adaptable and flexible with so many different types of projects. Yes, there is a learning curve but it is manageable, and well worth it in the long run. If ClickUp continues to improve on user onboarding while providing great customization at the lower end of the cost spectrum, ClickUp will continue to be my favorite tool for managing success.
High level of customization
ClickUp offers a high level of customization, including templates and widgets, allowing users to create a dashboard that fits their preferences. This feature enables easy viewing, grouping, and sorting of tasks, creating a priority list
Enhanced team collaboration
ClickUp makes collaboration easier by allowing team members to assign shifts, view work schedules, catch up on chats, send direct emails and documents, making service delivery a team effort.
Comprehensive tool for managing workflow and collaboration
ClickUp effectively replaces all other apps, providing a unified platform for managing tasks, workstreams, and appointments, making it beneficial for any workspace
Real-time reporting and time tracking
ClickUp provides real-time reporting and time tracking features, enabling teams to track the time spent on each task to ensure efficient service delivery.
Ease of use and flexibility
ClickUp is easy to set up and navigate, offering a simple and efficient user interface. It allows users to make tasks, lists, and projects as simple or complex as needed, providing flexibility to suit different work requirements.
Slow and buggy
Some users have reported that ClickUp is extremely slow, causing them to re-click hundreds of times during a work session and wait for screens to load or change. The screen fill delays cause numerous errors in a single work session.
Steep learning curve
ClickUp is packed with numerous features which can be daunting for novices, especially when they're included in an ongoing project with a multitude of tasks and development
Limited customization
While ClickUp offers a high level of customization, it is not limitless. Some users have reported being able to achieve only 95% of their needs, with the remaining 5% unattainable despite the constant price
Difficulty in onboarding less technical team members
Some users have reported that it was nearly impossible to get less technical or organized team members up to speed on the platform, making it less efficient for asynchronous work
Restrictions in the unlimited plan
Some features like commenting on images and email integration are not available in the unlimited plan unless users upgrade, limiting the functionality of the software

Fibery and ClickUp are both advanced tools for project management and team collaboration, but they cater to slightly different needs and preferences within organizations.
Fibery is renowned for its flexibility and adaptability, positioning itself as a tool that grows with your team. It allows users to create their own tools within its ecosystem, making it particularly appealing to teams that need highly customizable workflows. This feature is especially useful for complex projects where interconnectivity and relational databases play a critical role, such as in software development and product management. Fibery also emphasizes its capabilities in handling large volumes of interconnected data, supporting deep work management with features like whiteboards, entity linking, and rich text editing.
In contrast, ClickUp aims to be an all-in-one project management solution with an extensive suite of features that include task assignments, document management, goal tracking, and even an...

As a part of a large team, managing our projects efficiently is crucial, and that's why we often explore various tools to find the best fit. ClickUp is an all-in-one management tool that centralizes tasks, documents, and communication. This makes it easy for our team to streamline the workflow and stay organized. When it comes to project management tools, ClickUp and Airtable each offer unique value propositions that distinguish them from each other. Both platforms provide essential project management features such as task assignments, timelines, and collaboration spaces. However, the core difference between the two lies in their approach to flexibility, integrations, and data management.
ClickUp is a tool built for adaptability and customization. It provides users with more than 15 different views, including List, Board, and Calendar views, among others. This flexibility allows teams to tailor their workspace according to specific project requirements or individual preferences. Furthermore, ClickUp offers a wide array of integrations—over 1,000 to be precise. This makes it an incredibly versatile tool for teams already using a variety of other platforms for CRM, coding, or design work. Compared to Airtable, ClickUp is better suited for environments where different departments need a unified...

Automations Reduce PM Triage Time
The automation builder has been genuinely useful for us, especially for moving tasks between lists and assigning owners when a status changes, and while not every automation is perfect, it handles enough repetitive work that our PM no longer spends half the day triaging updates

Flexible Views for Different Teams + Scaling Savings
One thing ClickUp does really well is letting different teams work differently without forcing everyone into the same structure, so marketing can live in board view while operations uses list and timeline views, and we also got that first-year savings through Joinsecret which helped at the point we were scaling headcount

Agency Workspace for Client Work + Lower-Risk Trial
ClickUp has worked well for our agency because client work, internal tasks, and SOPs can all sit in one workspace, and the discounted first 12 months we got through Joinsecret was useful, not game changing, just enough to make trying it feel lower risk

All-in-One Platform for Growing Teams
I wouldn’t call ClickUp lightweight, but for a growing team that needs folders, goals, time estimates, and recurring tasks in one platform, it’s been more practical than using a stack of smaller tools that don’t talk to each other very well

Content Workflow Clarity + First-Year Savings
We started using ClickUp for content production, and the calendar view plus custom task statuses made it much easier to see where every article was stuck, and getting around 30% off the first year through Joinsecret was a nice bonus since we were already budgeting for new software

Templates Streamline Onboarding and Handoffs

Dashboards for Planning, Capacity, and Sprints
What I like most is how flexible the dashboards are, especially for weekly planning and workload visibility, because I can see overdue items, team capacity, and sprint progress in one screen instead of pulling reports from three different tools
