Seamless Integration: My Experience with Bitwarden

I've been using Bitwarden for a few months now and I'm thoroughly impressed with its seamless integration across multiple devices

      An Excellent Password Management Tool

I began using Bitwarden after switching from LastPass. The experience has been straightforward and excellent, with no issues encountered. After using the free version across multiple devices and for numerous passwords, I decided to support the company financially and take advantage of premium features like TOTP and emergency access from contacts. At $1 a year, it's less than $1 a month and well worth it. Using the TOTP feature is smooth and convenient. I highly recommend it.

Adapting to Bitwarden's Evolving Security Measures: A User's Experience

A year ago, Bitwarden rolled out an update that, surprisingly, didn't work on my Windows 7 machine. Some might say it's an outdated setup, but I love it! It was a bit of a shock not being able to access my passwords all of a sudden, but it turned into a fun challenge. I quickly found a workaround by using an older version of Bitwarden Portable, which worked like a charm for over a year. Just today, I discovered that their firewall had listed my IP address, which locked me out. It was a bit of a surprise, but it's also a testament to their robust security measures. It's clear they take their security seriously, which is reassuring. As a paying customer, I feel like I'm part of an ongoing process of improvement and adaptation. It's a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but it's also exciting to see how the product evolves and how I can adapt to these changes. I'm looking forward to seeing what Bitwarden has in store for the future!

      Top-tier Open-Sourced Password Manager: Bitwarden

As a user, I find Bitwarden to be an effective password manager. Its open-source nature boosts its security, as anyone can inspect the codes and report potential issues. This is vital for me as I need to trust the software with my valuable information, a feature not all competitors provide. Bitwarden enables me to manage my numerous logins and generate complex passwords, improving my account security. If one of my passwords gets leaked, my other accounts remain safe as I use different passwords for different sites. The main drawback I encounter with Bitwarden is the need to manually click on the extension icon to initiate the auto-fill process, a feature other competitors handle better. I switched to Bitwarden due to policy changes in my previous software after its acquisition by LogMeIn, a company with questionable practices.

      Great Concept, Poor Implementation

I appreciate opensource and Bitwarden is a great concept, but its implementation is disappointing. The clients, such as the Firefox extension and iOS app, are minimally functional despite having almost half of the features of other established commercial password managers. It feels like they do a few things, but poorly. The entire operation seems casual and is treated as voluntary work, even though they have paying customers like myself. Bugs remain unresolved for years, they linger on GitHub for months and are closed without any explanation.
