ConvertKit
vs
Mailchimp
Several differences between ConvertKit and Mailchimp may help you decide which tool is for you. Firstly, the two products target different audiences. ConvertKit is specifically designed for creators including authors, bloggers, coaches, and podcasters. It offers tools to help creators grow their audience and monetize their offerings, like email marketing, newsletters, and a simple landing page builder. Mailchimp is marketed towards a broader audience of small to medium businesses across various industries, including e-commerce. Marketers with all levels of experience can use it and it’s especially accessible to those with limited email marketing experience.
Another crucial difference between Convertkit and Mailchimp is their approach to email creation. ConvertKit’s email designer was, up until recently, plain text only, requiring basic HTML knowledge. ConvertKit’s new visual editor uses content blocks to let you create 3-column layouts, add rich media content, and insert HTML...

The platform offers more advanced features and incorporates marketing, sales, and CRM capabilities to automate the sales process further. Access to these advanced features can involve a steeper learning curve and additional costs. However, these features make ActiveCampaign a powerful tool for...

Why is ConvertKit Recommended? A Question of Affiliate Generosity?
I've experienced more problems with ConvertKit than with any other aspect of my website. Although it's less expensive than other alternatives, there's a valid reason for this. I'm planning to switch to Infusionsoft, which I believe will justify its higher monthly fee. While ConvertKit makes it easy to draft emails and set up an email funnel, the execution is dreadful. It constantly feels like a beta version. The forms aren't as responsive as they advertise, and they need a lot of adjustments to function correctly. Their WordPress plugin even triggered 'malware' alerts on my site with Avast. When I reached out to their support team, they seemed more focused on getting me off their daily tasks list than on fixing the problem. This issue persisted for two weeks. I had a list of five questions, but only got an answer for one. The representative, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], didn't respond promptly and then started pressuring me to fix the issue immediately, which I was unable to do.

Appreciating ConvertKit's Dedication to Privacy and Quality
I absolutely love how ConvertKit prioritizes privacy! They have a comprehensive policy that ensures a high standard of email marketing topics. This keeps me on my toes and encourages me to be more creative and thoughtful with my content. If I ever need assistance, their customer service is always there to help. Yes, there might be a bit of a wait, but it's totally worth it because they take the time to carefully export and send me my email list. I appreciate their dedication to maintaining quality and privacy!
