We needed a simple check-in and out feature for our start-up fitness center and iLobby, even in its beta stage, fulfilled our requirements. Since then, iLobby has evolved and improved, becoming an even better product. The reports generated from the check-ins and check-outs help us run our facility efficiently. I would like a feature beyond the user front end check-in that shows their status. This way, any user can confirm their check-in or check-out "status" without using the back end dashboard.

    Persistent Technical Glitches with iLobby

    I am dissatisfied with the overall performance of the iLobby Visitor Management system. We use thermal cameras for temperature checks, but if the camera can't read a visitor's face due to obstructions like hats, glasses, masks, etc., it reports a camera malfunction error instead of an error reading the face. I proposed a feature for them to still send the picture to the supervisor even on failed reading, which would inform the supervisor that the camera worked but couldn't take the temperature for some other reason. When the software functions, it's decent, but it takes too long to process a visitor. This is primarily due to the addition of COVID screening questionnaires to our program, which slows down the process. The thermal camera integration is poor. We have 6 iLobby units with thermal cameras and on average, we experience at least one or two system crashes every week. Tech support assists in getting them back online, but we shouldn't have to completely reinstall the system and get a code from iLobby.
