01 Is Paycom any Good? My expert Review
In my previous exposure, Paycom is excellent as a solid solution for both HR and payroll, especially useful if you operate a small or medium-sized business. Making it easier to manage payroll and HR tasks daily means you have everything integrated and don't have to go through multiple platforms. It saves time because I can now spend valuable time on bigger projects. When I was part of an implementation for Paycom at a mid-sized marketing firm, I was amazed at how quickly the team took to the site. It made tracking leave balances and submitting expenses painless without requiring substantial training.
I particularly like the performance management module of the platform. It has completely changed how you conduct year-end reviews. Instead of annual reviews with feedback from the last 12 months, managers can now provide weekly or monthly feedback in real-time. When I consulted for a software development company, managers were able to jot down notes about the employee's performance using the Paycom platform and easily compile them when it came time for employee year-end evaluations. It is a much better approach to evaluating employee performance.
That being said, I should point out that there have been a few obstacles. While our transition teams (who were inexperienced with using the system) felt the platform was intuitive, they had some limitations in answering system-specific questions. It was frustrating, and the lack of a demo account made it difficult to experience the platform before getting into it. Having some sort of access that would provide a feel for the platform before we committed would be beneficial.
Overall, my frustration while using Paycom has not outweighed the overall ease-of-use. Employees routinely tell me how simple it is to access their benefits information and their ability to manage their own direct deposit. Sure, as an administrator it may feel like you have to be going uphill initially while setting up your functions, but once you do and the system starts to run, Paycom functions as an efficient platform that genuinely helps to productivity and makes managing HR much easier regardless of the type of business you are running.

Effortless Navigation Across the Organization with Paycom
I am extremely satisfied with Paycom. I recently enrolled in my benefits and it only took 15 minutes. I was able to update my banking information, address, emergency contact, and several other details. I even informed my employees that their unused personal time would expire at the end of the year. The user interface is very user-friendly and overall, we are very pleased with it. Although it is user-friendly, sometimes it takes a few minutes to understand why certain things are set up the way they are. Once I understand, it makes sense why it was designed that way. I appreciate that Paycom is an easy tool for our organization and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my experience.

As a Paycom user, I find it efficient, reliable, and ideal for smaller organizations. It's accessible not only on computers but also on all employee mobile phones, allowing employees to access their payroll documents. It enables the completion and storage of onboarding documents, trainings, time management, paystubs, tax papers, and more, saving time and improving efficiency. However, there are some issues with updating time punch change requests on both the employee and supervisor screens, which can cause over corrections due to lag. Additionally, accessing the Paycom time clock can be time-consuming, potentially causing late clock in/out. Despite these issues, I rate Paycom 5 stars for simplifying our payroll needs.

The transition to PayCom as a payroll service has been smooth. The process of gathering information and training started early, preventing any rush. The training is conducted in one to two-hour sessions, allowing me to maintain focus. All sessions are recorded for future reference. The software also includes easy-to-navigate help documentation. After completing the training, I was assigned a dedicated specialist team, who are easily reachable.
