Cons from reviewers
-
Lack of Adobe CC integration: Although QuickReviewer has plans to integrate Adobe CC in the future, the current lack of this feature can be a disadvantage for users who heavily rely on Adobe CC for their work
-
Absence of historical comments: When a new version of a document is uploaded, all previous comments are lost. This can be frustrating for users who want to refer back to previous feedback
-
Limited file compatibility: QuickReviewer only accepts .pdf documents, which can be a hindrance for users who work with a variety of file formats
-
Visibility issues with comments and annotations: The comment icon is small and hard to see, and comments in the column can be difficult to read due to contrast and brightness issues. Other annotations like lines, boxes, and arrows are not prominent enough and are too small
-
Lack of certain features: Users have expressed a desire for features such as the ability to disable downloads until approval is received, the option to leave voice memos on video timestamps, and the ability to draw and add shapes to facilitate commenting. The absence of these features can limit the software's functionality for some users.

Improvements Needed: Document Type Compatibility, Technical Support, Speed, and Interface Clarity
I find it frustrating having to wait for documents to be available for review, often taking until the next day to access them. While QuickReviewer can review documents, images, websites, and videos, it lacks clarity in its use of website links and plug-ins. It crashes when loading videos, only accepts .pdf documents, and offers only one way to comment on documents. The comment icon is so tiny it's barely visible, and comments in the column are hard to see due to contrast and brightness issues. Other annotations like lines, boxes, and arrows are not prominent enough and are too small. I chose QuickReviewer thinking it would be a one-stop solution for reviewing, and I switched to it believing it would work.

Discovered while seeking Dropbox PDF review alternatives
I find QuickReviewer to be fast and user-friendly, and I plan to use it more frequently. I appreciate its speed, ease of use, and the quick understanding it provides for anyone transitioning from Dropbox. I also enjoy its dark mode and the fact that the developers seem to genuinely care about the product. However, I miss the ability to view all historical comments once a new version of a document is uploaded. I've been in touch with the development team about this issue. I chose QuickReviewer primarily for its price/performance ratio, as I work in the boardgame publishing industry and come from a country with limited funds, making cost a significant factor in our decision. I switched to QuickReviewer from Dropbox due to bugs and unbearable slowness with the latter.

Top Site for Reviewing Video Content with TimeStamp Comments!
I can easily leave timestamps and even free draw on the video or use arrows to explain where on the screen I want something. I can @ping/tag other users within a timestamped comment. I love that I can send files to get timestamp comments from people outside of my business, like a sponsor who can review a video before it is published, without needing an account to leave comments. I can mark a video as: Uploaded, In Review, Approved, Pending, or Rejected. It's cheaper than its competitors. In fact, they allow me to pay and add unlimited people to upload to my Team folder, unlike competitors who charge per team member.
