Poor User Interface and Unreliable Customer Support with SendGrid
I initially used SendGrid for email verification while building a prototype and found it user-friendly. However, after a year-long break, I discovered my account had been closed due to inactivity. When I tried to create a new account, I was flagged by their system and asked to answer questions, including one about a username I couldn't recall. I tried to contact their support, but it required an active account to log in. I then reached out to their Twitter support, who advised me to email their HelpDesk. Despite explaining my situation, I received a generic response and couldn't reactivate my account without proof of domain ownership. Although the initial setup and integration with Firebase were easy, I was disappointed with the user experience, the lack of notification about account closure, and the poor customer support. This led me to switch from SendGrid due to my overall negative experience.

I was temporarily unable to login, but I see this as a testament to their commitment to protect my account from unauthorized access. Reaching out to their support was a bit of a challenge since you need to be logged in, but I appreciate this feature as it ensures that only account holders can make inquiries, further safeguarding user information. While I initially struggled to find a customer support address on their website, I realized this is likely another measure to prevent spam and unsolicited contact. Their Support Team may seem elusive, but I interpret this as them being incredibly busy ensuring the best service for their users. I've never encountered a company that prioritizes security and privacy to such an extent. It's a refreshing change and I'm seriously considering sticking with them for the long haul!
