01 Is Dayforce HCM any Good? My expert Review
I have had positive experiences as a HR technology consultant with the Dayforce HCM with multiple organizations where the need and types of organizations are varied. It is a solid product that lessens the amount of difficulty that comes to navigating multiple HR and payroll initiatives. One of the implementations we had with Dayforce was at a mid-sized manufacturing company and the impact on their payroll processing was astonishing not only due to removing the manual spreadsheets used to calculate payroll but the improvements made to payroll processing. One of the most impressive features was the ability of Dayforce to offer its clients a continuous calculations feature or proposition which allows the pay information recording events to determine important pay data and produce live salary numbers for senior management.
One feature that I do value is the fact that Dayforce offers several integration points with the Microsoft Office/Office Products along with the ability to export data using Microsoft Excel. I have seen productivity improvements each time I have had data exported for reports or even presenting beautifully designed presentations to senior management using PowerPoint. I have finished using Dayforce for a client in the healthcare sector and the integration with Office is helping me such that each month I can provide information to senior leaders in an easy presentation format.
I have had my challenges with implementation activities. I was working with a retail client that operated multiple stores, and employed staff across several states and found it a little challenging than stated when implementing Dayforce to manage remote employee tax jurisdictions. The HR Import functionality had required fields that slowed down the data migration process when the time to focus on the information to present when it came to preparing to present the information.
Although I have had some minor challenges, I find that the flexibility and ease of use of Dayforce more than offsets the challenges. Even HR teams with the least technological experience and fastest learning curve could use the application easily with little to no ongoing training. There are varying licensing fees based on the modules, but when you consider the mistakes reduced from manual processes, generally exceeds any costs and productivity gains.
In summary, I have enjoyed my experiences with Dayforce HCM for a variety of reasons including, the feature set is robust, ease of use, integration is seamless, and capability to serve organizations with various types of needs.

I appreciate that Dayforce HCM is compatible with Microsoft Office and can be integrated with other systems through various application programming interfaces. I've been impressed with their recent updates and am excited to see what they'll introduce next. We use Dayforce HCM for new hire processing and health insurance enrollment. Our company operates three different payrolls for different types of employees - Union, Exempt, and Non-Exempt, each with a unique Employee Number. The software merges these two aspects into one comprehensive system for reporting. However, I have to use the Text to Columns function in Excel to separate them correctly. It would be fantastic if they could be separated directly within the software. We switched to Dayforce HCM because it serves as our primary HRIS, functioning as both our ATS and our performance and rewards management system. It's user-friendly and highly adaptable to our diverse needs.

Dayforce: Streamlining User Experience, Reporting, and Payroll with Ease
I appreciate Dayforce's continuous calculation options and its ability to handle large payroll batches. It's a relief to be able to provide timely salary spending reports to upper management. I also value the helpful staff and customer service at Ceridian. It's evident that they've considered the full scope of the employee experience, as demonstrated by the cohesiveness of their many modules. The interaction between these modules is a bonus. However, I wish I had been given more information or warning about the actual implementation process. It was challenging and I felt unprepared with the resources I had. If I had known it was going to be so tough, I would have made more effort to prepare. I switched to Dayforce HCM because it consolidates all of my important work in one place, saving me a lot of time. Everything I need is easy to find and I don't even need help to get started.
