      Patriot Software is All Ears!

      I have been using Patriot Software for two years and I am very satisfied with it. Their Full Service Payroll is more affordable than other major accounting software's Basic Service, which I appreciate. I particularly like that Patriot handles all of our taxes. There are a few aspects I wish were different, such as the ability for our customers to pay us through ACH and improved tracking of hours with our vendors. However, it seems they are working on these improvements. What I appreciate most is their customer service - I can call and speak to a real person who is professional and helpful. They even scheduled a meeting with me to discuss potential changes based on my feedback. I rate them 4 stars as there is room for improvement, but their exceptional customer service is very important to me.

      Lack of Direct Tax Team Communication Causes Delays

      I had a client who faced a problem with their state quarterly forms. Despite Patriot Payroll submitting the SUTA taxes, none of the quarterly returns were filed for the past five quarters. After sorting out an issue with the state exemption status, we repeatedly asked Patriot to file the late returns. However, 26 days have passed and the returns are still not filed. It's frustrating that we can't directly communicate with the tax team and all our emails, chats, and phone calls are handled by a general support team. The latest email I received stated that the filing of forms is on a "first come, first serve basis". I'm starting to question if Patriot can keep up with timely filings for all customers. The support ticket has been open for over 26 days. I'm also curious if Patriot uses an outside service for tax filing. Despite the ease of use, simple interface, and reports, the lack of email notifications and issues with tax filings are concerning. I chose Patriot Payroll.
