01 Is Google Voice any Good? My expert Review

I have taken advantage of Google Voice for many years, and it has saved me from worrying about personal and work-related calls and burning cash! During my freelance work, it took the stress out of carrying two phones and getting a business line. It was also good to have the voicemail transcribed and sent as an email! Many times, I could not listen out loud and I could skim through the voicemail transcript in my email, so I would not lose the messages. Many times, Voicemail and texting seemed to be better ways to communicate rather than verbally, which allowed me to get work done. The spam filter helped cut out the annoying interruptions, which helped me stay focus and work on other things.

That all being said, it is not all sunshine and roses. If Wi-Fi was slow and my cellular service was poor, I would experience call quality issues, which created dropped calls or fuzzy calls. I also had a challenge searching for some settings along the way, but I would not say that this presents a challenge either. All in all, these bumps in the road do not diminish the comfort and flexibility of use that Google Voice provides. I think this is a good service for someone who is small business or freelance, and may require their own means of communication, without further attachment and expense. If some tweaks were made to improve call quality to be more consistent or included some additional unique features, Google Voice would likely remain relevant in the future.

I remember when Google Voice was first becoming popular and it has now developed into a smooth experience. It's simple to set up and I value its integration with my smartphone. Sometimes, there are problems with the clarity of voice mails, but it's not a big enough issue to prevent me from using the software.

Google Voice: A Game-Changer for Call Filtering and Customization

The spam filtering feature is excellent, it has significantly reduced the number of unwanted calls I receive. I've found the audio quality on Google Voice calls to be consistently high, even when I'm in areas with poor cell reception. The ability to customize my voicemail greetings for different callers is a feature I didn't know I needed until I had it

Google Voice: Not Quite Right for Smaller Businesses

My experience with Google Voice was a learning curve. I found that I needed more from my phone/voip service. Although Google Voice was efficient, inexpensive, and user-friendly, the absence of toll-free numbers, inability to call 911, dropped or unintelligible calls, inaccurate or unavailable caller ID, and lack of customer service led me to look for other options. What I valued most about this software was its affordability - it was only $10 a month per user for up to 10 users, and I had the option to upgrade to the standard level at $20 per month per user. I also appreciated its voicemail transcription feature and the availability of the Google Voice app for staying connected on the move. However, the number of dropped calls my team and I experienced, along with the lack of 24-hour live customer support, was disappointing. I chose Google Voice over Open Phone due to my familiarity with Google products.

Exploring the Security and Features of Google Voice: A Personal Journey

I recently embarked on the journey of acquiring a number on Google Voice and was pleasantly surprised by the security measures in place. The system asked for SMS verification to link my phone number, which I found to be a great step towards ensuring user safety. Although I initially faced some challenges in obtaining my Google Voice number, I took it as an opportunity to explore the platform more. I even tried linking another phone number, which was an interesting process. Overall, it was a unique experience that piqued my curiosity and I'm excited to continue exploring the features of Google Voice.
